According to a report | by WrestleVotes, WWE discusses relocating Smackdown this week. This Friday’s episode of Smackdown was slated from the Little Caesars Arena. Little Caesar Arena is located in Detroit, Michigan, but it isn’t where the decision to have Smackdown take place now. The comes on the heels of this past Wednesday’s episode of NXT also taking place from the Performance Centre.
WWE has had discussions this evening about relocating this Friday’s SmackDown event to the Performance Center due to the viruses. No word on if official or not as of yet.

The recent announcement by World Health Organization that the Coronavirus is listed as a pandemic, therefore decisions are being made. It was followed by the National Basketball Association deciding to postpone their season. This unfolded after a player tested positive for COVID-19. The National Hockey League also intends to determine what their next plan of action will be in continuing to operate for the balance of the 2019-2020 season.

Several promotions throughout Japan have recently announced that they were canceling upcoming events. As we stated, only a couple of days ago, Stardom, NJPW, Pure-J, and DDT are among the promotions to cancel forthcoming events. Much like these companies, any potential discussion taking place suggests that there is a concern. Social media is abuzz with concerns as to whether or not WrestleMania will take place. WWE has yet to make a statement about the upcoming event. This past week’s edition of NXT and how other industries are following suit doesn’t seem like a stretch. A decision will have to come quickly by WWE to relocating this week’s edition of Smackdown as to the next steps.
