Pro wrestling is at an all-time high and what a time to be alive. Between some of the best matches, heel turns, face turns, new signings, television deals, and Twitter beefs, its truly a new golden era in the business. However, on that last note, Twitter has become a true extension of the power of the wrestling business. And the power of The Man.
While Seth Rollins continues to troll the wrestling world by throwing challenges to members of the All Elite Wrestling roster, more specifically Kenny Omega, his other half is seemingly joining the fray. Last week, Jim Ross set the internet on fire speaking about Rollins’ Comic-Con comments in regards to Omega “leaving the minors” and taking him on at Wrestlemania. Ross, whose been very subjective in regards to the online banter by WWE’s current Universal Champion, stated on his Grillin’ With JR podcast, that Rollins should be “more worried about being cool” and the fact that his “girlfriend is more over than him”.

She quickly took the opportunity to respond to JR who re-established his stance on Twitter in regards to Lynch being the most over superstar in WWE:

It didn’t take long for members of the AEW women’s roster to reply to the current RAW Women’s Champion, as former AEW Women’s Championship contender Nyla Rose and current AEW/Stardom mainstay Bea Priestley had some words for The Man:

Will the Twitter beef continue? Possibly. But in the meantime, Becky Lynch will face one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kairi Sane in a first time ever match tonight on Monday Night RAW.

With my background in music, I have to say, this is what makes wrestling business interesting. Imagine a Twitter beef between WCW Flair and WWF Hogan? Or The Rock and Mick Foley going at it against Hall and Nash back in the 90s? While we enjoy what we see on our television and computer screens Monday – Sunday when it comes to our favorite wrestling stars, bringing their characters on social media has truly been a joy.
