Current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins has apparently deactivated his Twitter account.

At the time of writing it currently displays –

“@WWERollins, This account doesn’t exist. Try searching for another”.

The possible deactivation could be down to a back and forth Twitter exchange with Sasha Banks last Thursday. It began when Rollins posted a tweet to promote Monday’s season premiere of RAW and his championship defense against Rey Mysterio.

“This is a match I’ve been looking forward to my entire life. The fact that I’m defending the Universal Title on the #RAW Season Premiere against @reymysterio in 2019 is mind-boggling. Even 6 days out from #HIAC & @WWEBrayWyatt, I’ll empty the tank for one of the greatest ever.”

Sasha Banks commented on the tweet sarcastically by hyping her match on the same night against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Alexa Bliss –

“This is a match I’ve been looking forward 2 my entire life. The fact that I’m wrestling 1/2 of the Tag Champs on the #RAW Season Premiere against @AlexaBliss_WWE in 2019 is mind-boggling. Even 6days out from #HIAC & @BeckyLynchWWE I’ll empty the tank for one of the greatest ever.”

This seems to have a lit a fire under Seth. He replied to Sasha in a less sarcastic way. More an in your face kind of way –

“This is a match I’ve been looking forward to as much as every other match you’ve ever had…aka, not at all. Luckily for me, you’ll underdeliver like you always do and continue to wonder why you’re not in more main events.”

I stress again that this could be a possible reason for Seth and his Twitter account. Stay with Pro Wrestling Post for any news regarding this situation.

Blake’s Take – Hmmmmm. Is Seth’s account offline due to being “asked” by WWE officials? Has Sasha taken what he said to heart? I’m dunno. I’m kinda hoping that all this is kayfabe. That Sasha will really turn the screws on Becky over the coming week in the run-up to HIAC. If it is because he actually offended Sasha, then this could spell trouble for wrestlers in the future. WWE officials will clamp down on talent using their social media to advance storylines. Betcha bottom dollar…..
