PWA Black Label is returning with the second annual Colosseum tournament. This year the tournament is going to take place over two nights. Friday, October 18th, 2019 is going to be the opening night of the Colosseum tournament. Night one will feature the first round matches in the tournament, while night 2 will play host to the semi-finals and finals of the tournament. 8 of the very best competitors from Australia and possibly the world will compete in the Colosseum tournament with the opportunity to win an ultimate surprise. So who are the competitors that are taking part in the Colosseum tournament this year? Let us take a look at what fans can expect.
Orange Cassidy
Orange Cassidy is a name familiar with wrestling fans who follow independent wrestling or have been keeping track of happenings in All Elite Wrestling as well. Cassidy is a name that is quickly on the rise among the wrestling faithful and so wrestling fans in Australia should be very excited to have such an incredible talent joining the Colosseum tournament this year. Rising to the top of the women’s division of PWA Black Label, Jessica Troy has now also shown that she fear. Regardless of the competitors that are thrown in front of her, Troy excels. Jessica Troy with all of her momentum at the moment has got to be one to really watch out for. Troy has got everything it takes to conquer the Colosseum tournament. She has what it takes to really cement 2019 as the year of Troy.
Davis Storm is also entering into the Colosseum tournament. Storm is a very lethal opponent and will give everything he has got and more during this year’s tournament. Davis Storm may not be the biggest name in the tournament, but he may end up being the most memorable one.
Now it is on to the most unique individuals in the Colosseum tournament. A name on the rise in Australian wrestling Ricky South has very strong ring psychology. Ricky South is not only great with ring psychology, but South also possesses tremendous in-ring ability. Fatal Four way to determine who will be the number one contender for the PWA heavyweight Championship. The four competitors taking part in this match are outstanding wrestlers who all could stake a claim to the top prize in PWA Black Label. Unsocial Jordon brings a very unique touch to this match up and should not be underestimated. Carter Deams has all the skill required in order to come out victorious. Marcus Kool is not going to deliver anything fancy in this match. His no nonsense smash mouth style could easily stand the test in the fatal four way match. Shazza McKenzie has got to be the favorite especially among the fans to pick up the victory in this match. Shazza knows what it takes to be a very successful champion. Her in ring skills and heart will be a true threat to her fellow competitors.
Caveman Ugg & The Velocities vs The Nations
The PWA Heavyweight Champion Caveman Ugg will be teaming up along side the new PWA Tag Team Champions The Velocities. On the other side of the ring will be The Nations who include the former tag team champions Mick Moretti & Jack J Bonza. The tag team experience will be top class in this encounter. Plus it includes the addition of one of the toughest Australian wrestlers Caveman Ugg. The Velocities are still riding a high after managing to end the incredible tag team championship run of Moretti and Bonza. There is an opportunity for the Velocities to make a real statement with a victory over The Nations.
