Yesterday it was reported that All Elite Wrestling had trademarked the name “All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite” with the US Patent & Trademark Office. But could have an errant TV guide listing given the name away?
In an update to this news, the Xfinity TV guide has “confirmed” that the same “All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite” name WILL be the Wednesday night show.

As you can see above, the guide shows a special two-hour preview on October 1, the night before the company’s debut show on TNT.
The patent/trademark for “Wednesday Night Dynamite” was put into the USPTO on June 18. Along with a patent/trademark for “AEW Revolution” that was earmarked on August 2. No news yet on that name, but rumor has it that it could be a future PPV for the company.
The first Wednesday night show will be headlined The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega versus AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and two mystery opponents. Here is the announced card –
MJF vs. Brandon Cutler
Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara
Jon Moxley appears live
Nyla Rose vs. Riho to crown the first-ever AEW Women’s Champion
The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega vs. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho & two mystery partners
Blake’s Take – So it seems that the long-mooted “Dynamite” name IS what All Elite Wrestling officials have decided upon. No great surprise there then. People will say “what’s in a name?” To those people, I will come back with “Monday Night RAW“. Can you imagine the premier wrestling TV show with any other suffix? The name, or brand, is essential to AEW and it’s future.
Could it be something more punchy or catchy? Sure! But I bet when Raw was announced all those years ago, people were scratching their heads the same way some folk are now.
