It was reported yesterday that All Elite Wrestling’s next event, Fyter Fest, will air live and for free via the B/R Live platform. AEW’s Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes spoke to ComicBook.com about the reasoning behind airing the event on B/R Live instead of PPV.

He pointed out that that this subject was a huge discussion in the company, but he’s thrilled that the show will be streamed for free.

“I’m thrilled that we get to do it for free. That was such a huge discussion and I’m so excited. I mean Moxley’s first match in AEW for free. It’s great. The people at B/R Live, I couldn’t ask for better partners.”

“You do need a subscription, but it is a free subscription. It’s not a hook in and you’re charged type of deal. You’ll need to probably if you’re looking to see Fyter, and it’s streaming for free here in the United States, you should go on the site before the actual event, get yourself signed up so you’ve got all your ducks in a row and you’re ready to go.”

Fyter Fest takes place on Saturday, June 29, from Daytona Beach Florida. The show is held in conjunction with CEO Gaming, and as reported above, will be shown for free via the B/R Live platform. Below is the updated card:

The Elite (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) vs. Rey Fenix, Pentagon Jr. and a mystery partner

Jon Moxley’s AEW in-ring debut vs. Joey Janela

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF vs Jungle Boy vs. Jimmy Havoc

    Cody Rhodes vs. Darby Allin

    Hardcore Match
    Alex Jebailey vs. Michael Nakazawa

Blake’s Take: In my eyes, this is a great business move. With All Elite Wrestling still an upstart company, they need to get as many eyes on the product that they can. Making it free to air is a good idea. It also ties in with the B/R Live platform that will form a major part of their TV deal as from October. Still no news on if anyone from outside the United States can use B/R Live yet. I expect more information to drop in the coming days and weeks.
