WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Preview

On Saturday, January 27th, the World Wrestling Entertainment presents WWE Royal Rumble 2024. That’s right, it is time for the Royal Rumble. What does the Rumble bring? WrestleMania Season!

The first stop on the road to WrestleMania brings fans to Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. The Royal Rumble has 30 participants with one goal in mind: to eliminate the 29 other participants to guarantee their ticket to WrestleMania with a championship match with the champion of their choosing.

The Royal Rumble, where stars are made and dreams come true. In addition to the two Royal Rumble matches, the United States Championship and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be up for grabs.

WWE Royal Rumble 2024
United States Championship Match:
Logan Paul (C) vs. Kevin Owens

Logan Paul came out on Smackdown and declared that he would defend the United States Championship at the Royal Rumble. His opponent would be the winner of the United States Championship #1 Contender Tournament.

Kevin Owens outlasted seven other superstars to win the tournament and earn himself a title match. Owens broke his hand during the tournament.

Will that be a factor in the outcome of the match? Does Paul have a trick or two up his sleeve to help him retain the championship?

Fatal Four Way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (C) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight

The Bloodline had a simple plan for Smackdown. Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis was having a triple threat match between Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight to determine who would be facing Reigns at the Royal Rumble in a championship match.

The Bloodline would crash the match and take out all three of the participants. Aldis then told Paul Heyman that as a result of The Bloodline interference, Reigns would not be defending the championship in a one-on-one match but a fatal four-way instead.

When Reigns refused to sign the contract for the Royal Rumble match, Aldis said that the three participants who had already signed the contract would face off in a triple threat match for the vacant championship.

Reigns eventually signed the contract to make the match official. Will someone be able to finally dethrone Reigns or will he continue to sit at the Head of the Table?

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

The following superstars have already declared their participation in this year’s match: Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Maxxine Dupri, and Ivy Nile.

Last year’s winner, Rhea Ripley, went on to strike gold in her WrestleMania opportunity. Who’s turn will it be this year? Will Lynch or Belair become the first two-time winner of the women’s Rumble?

The match is known for its surprise entrants, so who will be this year’s surprises? Who else is going to be in the match itself? Which champion will the winner choose to face at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia?

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

The following superstars have already declared their participation in this year’s match: Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, GUNTHER, Damian Priest, Kofi Kingston, Chad Gable, Otis, and Akira Tozawa.

Can Rhodes become the third back-to-back winner in the 37-year history of the Rumble, or will his feat be dashed by another superstar?

CM Punk’s last match in WWE was at the 2014 Royal Rumble. Can his return to the 2024 Royal Rumble ten years later finally net him the one goal he never accomplished, maineventing WrestleMania?

Who will be a surprise participant? And most importantly, who will be punching their ticket to Philadelphia for which title?
