On the heels of the fallout of WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, we preview the latest RAW in Advance for 3/9/26. Fans all witnessed the heated exchange between World Champion CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
With a final line by Punk that left many fans’ jaws dropped. Was the comment offside? Will Reigns’ next response cut deeper and get even more personal than what we heard last week?
There was also a new WWE Intercontinental Champion as Penta defeated “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. While the win was significant, as Penta is the first Mexican-born WWE talent to capture the title, it was what happened before the match and the lead-up to the finish that was notable.
Fans will recall Mysterio said he wanted to win it on his own, but still wanted Finn Balor and JD McDonagh at ringside for the match.
The problem was that Mysterio was also “cursed” by Danhausen for disrespecting him before the match, and Balor refused to help Dominik use a steel chair to get the win. What will the fallout of this moment be for Judgment Day now?

Women’s Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match
Lyra Valkaryia vs. Bayley vs. Iyo Sky vs. Raquel Rodriquez vs. Askua vs. Ivy Nile
With Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan set to face one another at WrestleMania, the question is who will face AJ Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Fans saw AJ Lee once again capture gold as she defeated Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber. On the Raw after Elimination Chamber, Lee gave an open challenge to anyone in the women’s locker room to step up and challenge her for the title.
Seeing all those contending for the title, the one threat that feels like it could lend itself to the most ideal storytelling would be Lee facing someone she would support while that person was making a name for themselves in NXT.
While Bayley had become a mentor to so many after her, it would be AJ Lee who would support her as she tried to make a name for herself. Is this an opportunity for true LONG-term storytelling to come about?
Another threat would be Lyra Valkyria, who also looked up to the likes of Bayley and then AJ Lee before her, as a unique opportunity to present itself.
The challenge with this match is that one of the participants could potentially be left off the WrestleMania card if they lose this match.
To think that the likes of Bayley, Lyra, Iyo, or Asuka not winning certainly does create more questions than it does answers.

Oba Femi vs. Rusev
What happens when a Ruler faces a Redeemer? A BATTLE. Since coming to the main roster, Oba Femi has made no commitment to either Raw or SmackDown and has made an impact on both shows.
Last Friday, he tossed Johnny Gargano around like a rag doll, and the Monday before that, Femi and Rusev had a face-to-face confrontation.
While seeing Rusev in action is always a good thing, seeing him lose at the expense of Femi doesn’t ultimately help him.
Although that may be the end goal in having Rusev help elevate Femi, it would be beneficial to see both men engage in a feud rather than a one-off match.
Rusev’s size presents a unique opportunity to have something longstanding against Femi. Another talent that would work well in this role, but with a long-term feud, would be the injured Sheamus. What will ultimately come about in this match between these two massive WWE talents?
What to Expect:
- What will Seth “Freakin” Rollins have in store for Austin Theory and Logan Paul?
- What is the current status and condition of Paul Heyman?
- Will Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor have a blow-up between them, and will JD McDonagh be forced to get in the middle of them?
- What is on the horizon for the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos and LA Knight?
