In a recent announcement by SMASH Wrestling, the company has just announced that Asian promotion Oriental Wrestling Entertainment ( OWE) will join promotions Progress, wXw, RiSE, Femme Fatale, and SHIMMER in what will be hosted by Canadian promotion SMASH Wrestling. The announcement adds to what is four consecutive days of events from August 7th-10th. OWE’s addition will be for two shows with one being on August 7th and the second being on August 10th.

For fans that may not be as familiar with the promotion gained notoriety in North America for their association with AEW as part of the companies debut event Double or Nothing. Oriental Wrestling Entertainment boasts an impressive roster of talent including legendary star CIMA.

An announcement was teased by SMASH Wrestling earlier in the day. A tweet by OWE acknowledging meeting up with management appeared to be a nice gesture on the surface had a much deeper and impactful meeting behind it.

Madison’s Mindset: The addition of Oriental Wrestling Entertainment ( OWE ) only further cements SMASH Wrestling and their commitment to building through collaboration. OWE’s inclusion makes it the fifth country represented with Germany (wXw), England (Progress), SHIMMER (United States) and Canada (SMASH, Femme Fatale) in the event as well.

It has already been suggested with the series of events that surround the WWE’s SummerSlam, NXT TakeOver, Raw and Smackdown Live in Toronto has been aided with SMASH Wrestling’s brilliant coordinating of a series of events much like what took place in the New York area over WrestleMania week. Who fans can anticipate in seeing in these events has yet to be announced. However, fans can be assured that those involved in these events certainly will make it a must-see for any wrestling fan. Readers can anticipate a special interview with OWE here on ProWrestlingPost.com within the coming days about this special event.
