Over the past few days, OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment) has begun to list a series of matches for their upcoming cross-promotional event with Toronto, Ontario based promotion SMASH Wrestling. During what is being heralded as SummerSlam week, SMASH Wrestling is doing what no other in promotion in the GTA has done coordinating and conducting cross-promotional events with promotions such as wXw, Progress, OWE, Femme Fatale, SHIMMER, and RiSE.

With each day that passes the booking for each match continues for the upcoming event on Saturday, August 10th at 3 PM eastern. The match announcements were listed below.

This remarkable event see’s some of SMASH’s biggest and most notable competitors exchange pleasantries with one another including the legendary CIMA coming off the success of an incredible performance against Kenny Omega at AEW’s Fight for the Fallen event. SMASH Wrestling’s own Sebastian Suave and Psycho Mike Rollins head a star-studded group that will compete in consecutive nights against the best in the world.

Madison’s Mindset: SMASH continues to be Ontario if not Canada’s premier independent promotion collaborating with sister independent promotions such as CZW and Progress in the past. This time, however, SMASH are working with not only Progress but prominent women’s promotions such as RiSE and SHIMMER along with emerging Asian based promotion OWE for a series of matches.

SMASH Wrestling has often said that collaboration is often among the keys to success. They continue to so so as they are at the forefront of not only providing opportunities for talent but also bringing in top international talent to Canada. Between August 7th and August 10th, SMASH will host all these incredible promotions leading up the WWE’s return to Toronto for their NXT TakeOver and Summerslam events on August 10th and 11th including the Women’s Summit. To purchase tickets to any or all of these events fans can go to http://ticketscene.ca/smash  to do so. It is certain to be a week wrestling fans will want to be in attendance for.

As a wrestling enthusiast for over 30 years, my fondness for professional wrestling explores the irrational in a rational way. I will explore the details inside and outside the ring and hopefully have a laugh with you in the process. I've had the fortune to interview wrestlers from Lucha Underground, TNA, Ring of Honor, GFW, and former WWE talent as well. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @TheMarcMadison
