On July 23rd, Major League Wrestling ( MLW ) CEO Court Bauer tweeted out in the wee hours of the morning, causing speculation about what could be coming for the promotion:

The world of MLW never stops! Speculation ensued over what could be in the future for MLW. With their recent string of sell-out events, critical acclaim for MLW Fusion, and the announcement of their first pay-per-view event, it could be anything.

Following MLW Never Say Never in New York City, our curiosity was satiated. It was announced on social media and by their newsletter that MLW has partnered with Pro Wrestling NOAH. The promotions had previously worked in harmony over the double TV tapings in April,  Rise of the Renegades and Battle Riot II. Japanese legend and current NOAH talent Minoru Tanaka came over to participate in several matches.

Per the press release, this new partnership will commence in August. MLW will send one wrestler, yet to be revealed, to participate in the Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 Victory Tour. Court Bauer offered these thoughts: “Pro Wrestling NOAH has a rich history of promoting some of the grandest wrestling bouts in the history of the sport. This is a very exciting partnership.  We look forward to joining NOAH and beginning a new voyage for a new era.”

Pro Wrestling NOAH also released their own statement, expressing their own excitement over the partnership. They also mentioned that their established partnership with IMPACT Wrestling will also continue. The talent exchange that is likely to take place between the two companies is comparable to that of what other North American based promotions such as Ring of Honor had established with NJPW.
