MLW fans rejoice! New information has been released that gives some exciting new details involving their return. Currently slated to begin airing new content in early November, Major League Wrestling announced the return of the MLW Opera Cup!

Yes, the Opera Cup tournament is set to return! This legendary tournament was held for nearly fifty years, until 1948 when it was discontinued. Stu Hart was the final Opera Cup winner. MLW revived the tournament last year. Teddy Hart donated the “family heirloom” that actually turned out to be the original trophy. The tournament saw Davey Boy Smith Jr. win the trophy. He defeated fellow New Era Hart Foundation member Brian Pillman Jr. in a match that was a truly fitting end to this historic tournament. As of this publication, there have been no participants announced. But Pro Wrestling Post will keep you informed as more information is released.

Not only is Major League Wrestling coming back strong with #TheRestart but they will be on more screens in the United Kingdom and Ireland. MLW and Sports Channel Network announced a new multi-platform agreement. Continuing MLW’s expansions into other markets. This bodes well for both fans and the company according to owner Court Bauer. He stated the following:

“The UK and Ireland are among MLW’s strongest markets globally and with Sports Channel Network making a significant move as a multi-platform player, it made perfect sense to partner with them to showcase our thrilling product to our loyal and passionate fans. And it’s free to millions of homes.”
