This past Tuesday, AAA shared in a press conference the complete card for Triplemania XVII. In my opinion, this card is interesting in all senses. You can see that they give us different styles of matches and have the best Mexican and international luchadors involved.

In the first match, the AAA World Mixed Championships will be defended. Niño Hamburguesa and Big Mami will defend it against with three other teams. Another match is a trios match with three different style teams. Las Fresas Salvajes have their charm and comedy, Poder del Norte have their rudoness and Myztezyz Jr, Golden Magic and Hijo del Vikingo have dives and speed, this match will be awesome.
A Copa Triplemania is booked with the rest of the AAA stars, this match is a royal rumble. Keyra is current Reinas de Reinas Champion. She’ll defend it in a Chairs, Tables, and Ladders match against Tessa Blanchard, Lady Shani, Taya, Faby Apache, La Hiedra, and Chik Tormenta. This will be a tremendous match and a difficult test for Keyra.

The last matches of the event are interesting. First, on one side will be Cain Velasquez who is making his lucha libre debut, in his corner will be Psycho Clown and Cody Rhodes. On the other side will be Los Mercenarios with Texano Jr and Black Taurus, and the third one is a surprise. However, Konnan said in the press conference that this third member knows about MMA.

The semi-main event will be a rematch from AEW’s Fyter Fest, between The Elite, the Lucha Bros, and Laredo Kid. This match has everything that a fan wants. Kenny Omega is also making his debut in Mexico in this match.

The main event is legend vs legend, this rivalry is about a year old. Blue Demon Jr and Dr. Wagner Jr have fought all year long, they have lost blood and sweat in every match. Who will win? The son of the blue legend or the hair of the Wagnermaniac Leader?

Following the surprises from CMLL last week that you would have read in ¡Esto es Lucha!, that Jushin Thunder Liger will have his retirement match between Caristico, Negro Casas, and Ultimo Guerrero on July 19th. This isn’t all, as this past Wednesday on CMLL Informa on Youtube, they have made another big announcement. LA Park and his sons will come back to Arena Mexico. The three Parks will have a fight with  Rush who will have in his corner, Bestia del Ring and Mistico. This is meaning that the war between families and the great feud Park vs Rush will be in CMLL. This match and the event will be amazing, La Familia Real against La Familia Muñoz. Stay tuned to the Pro Wrestling Post as we will have a preview of this important event.

CMLL Viernes Espectacular

Let’s start with a review of the latest Viernes Espectacular, or Spectacular Friday. In the third match of the night, there was Relampago match between two sons of Mexican legends. They are Atlantis Jr and Hijo del Villano III. They inherited their skills but also their rivalry. This match was good with great moves and dives by Atlantis Jr but to the end, they were fighting on the floor and forgot the count of twenty seconds and the result was a draw. Then both ripped their masks, and this rivalry will continue.

Also, CMLL remembered Perro Aguayo Sr with a video tribute. The crowd and the luchadors showed them to respect him with a minute of applause.

We also a great match for the Trios National Championships between the champs NGD (Sanson, Cuatrero, and Forastero) against the challengers Titan, Triton, and Esfinge. This challenge was made the previous Friday, when the challengers asked for the opportunity and the challenge was accept. The third fall was full of dives and spots by both teams. The belts could be on either team. However, the end came when Cuatrero and Esfinge were eliminated by themselves. Triton applied a great moonsault to Sanson on the floor. And the match was finished by Forastero appling a double kick to Titan. NGD are still the champions.

The war between El Clan vs Guerreros Laguneros also continues. This time it was Ciber against Gran Guerrero. The was an incredible trios match. On one is side Euforia, Gran Guerrero, and Soberano Jr. And on the other was Ciber, Mistico, and Rey Bucanero. The best part of the match was the confrontation of two highflyers, Mistico and Soberano Jr. They showed to the crowd, their speed, and dives; they were amazing. And Los Guerreros scored the victory in two straight falls. That is because in the second fall, Ciber was disqualified as he took away Guerrero’s mask.
