Yesterday, Major League Wrestling announced on their website that Kevin Ku had signed a deal with the company. He will debut with the company at the next set of TV tapings in October. The 32-year old indie wrestler has worked for Dojo Pro, Pro Wrestling Freedom, Black Label Pro, and Game Changer Wrestling.

“My excitement for signing with MLW cannot be understated. I truly believe they are one of the last wrestling companies who foster an environment of realness that’s missing from pro wrestling. I can’t wait to bring my brand of violence and bring MLW to new heights and win championship gold.” – Kevin Ku speaking after the announcement.

Major League Wrestling C.E.O. Court Bauer had high praise for Ku. “Kevin has all of the qualities I look for when we recruit our athletes,” Bauer said. “He’s the perfect fit for the restart, and I look forward to seeing his debut this Fall.”

Kevin Ku has a background in karate and weightlifting, and he can switch between technical grappling and brawling with ease. He debuted in 2014 for Independent Wrestling Entertainment under the name Kevin Park. He worked in the Northeast indie scene until 2015 when he began working for Alternative Pro Wrestling and Platinum Championship Wrestling in Georgia. Since 2017, he has toured the US more extensively, competing on the East Coast and Midwest. In 2019 Ku and Dominic Garrini participated in the World Tag Team Festival held by Westside Xtreme Wrestling in Germany. Dominic Garrini signed a deal with MLW in September of last year. Garrini and Ku will likely reunite as Violence Is Forever and compete for the MLW Tag Team Championships.

The October set of  MLW Fusion tapings will air in November. We will likely see a few more high profile indie stars sign with MLW before then.
