    C*4 Wrestling Presents Fury : Season Finale Event | Preview

    C*4 Wrestling Presents Fury! Capital City Championship Combat returns to a SOLD-OUT Preston Event Centre in Little Italy, Ottawa, on Friday night for their season finale event. The promotion is touting this as their biggest show ever, and with the card they’ve put together, it’s hard to deny just that. 

    Their May event, Hearts of Darkness, saw a huge shakeup in the promotion’s hierarchy with two title changes. Alexia Nicole and Violence Is Forever won the C*4 Underground and Tag Team Championships, respectively. Elsewhere on the night, Kevin Blackwood retained the C*4 Championship against LuFisto.

    Fury will feature two Steel Cage Matches, one of which being a 4-on-4 War! We’ll also see three Championship Matches, a Street Fight, and the debut of a former NXT Superstar. Let’s run down the card!

    The last match to be announced ahead of Fury is this “Wild Card” tag battle pitting the team of Jody Threat and Kristara against Veda Scott and Dream Girl Ellie.

    Threat last competed in C*4 at February’s Savage Streets, coming up short in an Underground Championship six-way scramble. Since then, she signed with Impact Wrestling in April, recently challenging Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship. Kristara has become a C*4 regular over the past year, frequently teaming with her “Amazingly Sweet” partner Alex Maze, and is coming off of two six-person tag victories in her last two C*4 outings.

    It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Veda Scott in a C*4 ring. Her last appearance was back in December of 2021 at Better Watch Out, in which she happened to defeat Jody Threat. Dream Girl Ellie is making her C*4 debut. She is a mainstay of Ohio Valley Wrestling and has competed for both AEW and ROH this year.

    Isaiah Broner has been a true breakout star for C*4 over the past season. After a few squash match victories over Mikey Thunder, Jeff Fury and CPA, he became a target of Twiggy, Ben Tull, and TDT. After spending some time on the shelf, he returned last month for some revenge alongside Buxx Belmar and Junior Benito. While Twiggy and co. got the last laugh by the end of the night, they will find themselves in the 4-on-4 Steel Cage War at Fury.

    In an attempt to slow down and prevent any involvement from Broner, Twiggy seems to have set a bounty on reinjuring him. Stepping up to the task is Impact Wrestling’s Sheldon Jean, who made his C*4 return in February following a four-year absence, coming up short in a four-way won by Alec Price.

    “The Curse” Cecil Nyx vs. Vaughn Vertigo

    There is absolutely no love lost between Cecil Nyx and Vaughn Vertigo. Nyx and Alexia Nicole kicked off this season by defeating Vertigo and his “Fight Or Flight” partner Gabriel Fuerza, forcing them to disband up until the season’s conclusion.

    After returning to C*4 at Hell or High Water, Vertigo defeated Nyx in a singles match at Hearts of Darkness. This time around, the two will collide in a Street Fight. Can Vertigo make it two in a row, or is Nyx about to end his season the same way he started it?

    After making their return to C*4 last month and recapturing their Tag Team Championships at Hearts of Darkness, Violence Is Forever look to make their first successful defense in their second reign with the titles.

    Their opponents at Fury are Puf and Pretty Ricky, whom they’ve met in four-way tag bouts before. But in eliminating the factor of other teams being involved in the match, will the eccentric duo capture gold in their first two-on-two shot at the C*4 Tag Team Championships?

    Hearts of Darkness wasn’t exactly the outing that “Scrapper” James Stone and “The Mountain” Vanessa Kraven had likely planned. Thanks to an assist from Stone, Kraven was able to secure victory in a number one contendership six-way match for his C*4 Underground Championship. By the night’s end Stone would no longer hold that title.

    Against all odds, the “Scrapper” was defeated by Alexia Nicole as “The Bionic Woman” became the first woman to hold a C*4 Championship. Will she cap off the season with her first successful title defense, or will Kraven exact revenge on Stone’s behalf?

    “Intense Icon” Joshua Bishop vs. “Scrapper” James Stone

    On the flip side, Stone will step inside of a Steel Cage with the man he defeated to become C*4 Underground Champion in his own right, “The Intense Icon” Joshua Bishop. The issues between these two are longstanding, and this time there will be interference, nowhere to run, and no holds barred.

    This “Wild Card” Tag Team Match has show-stealer written all over it. Making his return is former C*4 and Underground Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey, who’s recently been tearing it up in Impact, GCW, and NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors Tournament. Alongside Bailey is former NXT Tag Team Champion Trent Seven, appearing in C*4 for the first time ever.

    Across the ring from them is a local legend and Dark Order’s Evil Uno, alongside the up-and-coming Myung-Jae Lee. Just last month, these two faced off in singles action, with Uno picking up the victory. After the match, Uno raised Lee’s hand as a sign of respect. But how will the two fare as partners, especially against Bailey and Seven?

    “I will take this belt to the grave, knowing the best wrestler in Canada is from Buffalo, New York!” those were the words of C*4 Champion Kevin Blackwood, moments after his win over Lufisto and introduction of his protégé Haley Dylan at Hearts of Darkness.

    Looking to prove his point at Fury and close the season as C*4 Champion, Blackwood issued an open challenge to any Canadian talent he’s yet to face. Answering the call is Brent Banks, who hasn’t been seen in C*4 since 2018 but is a former C*4 Tag Team Champion.

    Made official at the conclusion of Hearts of Darkness, it’ll be an anything-goes fight to the finish, “Big Trouble in Little Italy” 4-on-4 Steel Cage War at Fury. Junior Benito will finally look to end things with TDT, Twiggy, and Ben Tull.

    Alongside Benito is Stu Grayson and the former C*4 Tag Team Champions Shayne Hawke and Macrae Martin, “Hawkestepper”. This one is quite simply can’t miss and guarantees to be nothing short of the war advertised.
