– Knockouts Title Defense!
This Thursday night, IMPACT Wrestling returns in front of a live crowd at Sam’s Town in Las Vegas, Nevada. We’re still sorting out the loose ends from Bound For Glory, but Turning Point is just around the corner. It can be a bit of a confusing time for those new to IMPACT Wrestling. Thankfully, Brace For IMPACT is here to guide you through the winding road to Turning Point. Here’s what you can expect this Thursday night on AXS TV.

Madman Fulton (w/Ace Austin) vs. Chris Sabin
On last week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Chris Sabin faced Ace Austin in singles action. As usual, the towering Madman Fulton stood in Austin’s corner. At the match’s crescendo, Chris Sabin crouched in the corner, gearing up for a running enzuigiri, when Fulton grabbed his hand and reeled him into the ropes. Sabin recoiled from the ropes while Ace Austin prepared his own move from the opposite corner, hitting The Fold to pick up the 3-count.
This week Sabin gets a shot at payback; however, this match means more to him. Sabin tweeted about the match, saying, “It’s not about revenge… it’s more about justice.” Madman Fulton had a different opinion, tweeting, “Sometimes when the world is going crazy, and everything is falling apart underneath you, there’s always Chris Sabin with a face primed and ready to dent in.”
Strong words from the man with a 2-time X-Division Champion in his corner. We’ll see if Fulton is more bark than bite this Thursday night on AXS TV when he faces Chris Sabin on IMPACT Wrestling.

The Good Brothers vs. FinJuice
At Bound For Glory, The Good Brothers defeated both BULLET CLUB and FinJuice to retain the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles. However, it was Chris Bey who took the pin that night in Las Vegas. As such, David Finlay and Juice Robinson still have claim to #1 contendership, as they demonstrated last week. In fact, in two-on-two action, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson have yet to defeat FinJuice.
Incensed by this fact, The Good Brothers immediately agreed to face FinJuice this Thursday on IMPACT Wrestling. If FinJuice wins this match, they’ll find themselves next in line for an IMPACT World Tag Team Championship match. However, judging by the way BULLET CLUB does business in Japan, they might insert themselves into this math. Find out when Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson try to put away FinJuice once and for all this Thursday night.

Rohit Raju vs. Steve Maclin vs. Laredo Kid vs. Black Taurus – X-Division Championship #1 Contender
At Bound For Glory, Trey Miguel captured the X-Division championship, his first championship in IMPACT Wrestling. In a post-match interview, he promised he’d be a fighting champion, taking on all comers. He held true to his word last week, accepting a challenge from NJPW’s Rocky Romero. This Thursday, Trey Miguel has the night off as the four finest representatives of the X-Division square off to become the #1 contender.
Let’s examine the field. As a former X-Division champion himself, and with The Desi Hit Squad reunited, Rohit Raju probably has the best odds in this no-DQ fatal four-way. Despite losing the X-Division Championship match at Bound For Glory, Steve Maclin has yet to suffer a pinfall or submission loss in IMPACT Wrestling. Maclin may not win, but on Twitter, he promised “Mayhem for all.” That leaves Black Taurus and Laredo Kid, two luchadores, with much to prove in IMPACT Wrestling.
Could Thursday night be the first step on the way to greatness?
Minoru Suzuki, W Morrissey, & Moose vs. Matt Cardona, Eddie Edwards, & Josh Alexander
At Bound For Glory, Josh Alexander defeated Christian Cage for the IMPACT World Championship. Moments later, Moose cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet win to challenge The Walking Weapon for his newly won title. In 7 seconds, Moose pinned Alexander, taking the prize he worked so hard to get. Now Josh Alexander is out for vengeance. However, Moose has assembled himself something of a posse.
When W Morrissey picked a fight with Eddie Edwards, Moose had his back. It seems like Moose has called in the return favor, as W Morrissey joins him in this 6-man tag match. Rounding out the team is a Forbidden Door special attraction. All the way from NJPW, Minoru Suzuki joins Moose and Morrissey as they take on Josh Alexander, Eddie Edwards, and Matt Cardona in this epic 6-man tag match this Thursday night!

Madison Rayne vs. Mickie James (c)
– Knockouts Championship
Less than two weeks after capturing the Knockouts Championship at Bound for Glory, Mickie James is out to prove she’s no Deonna Purrazzo. Instead of hiding behind henchwomen and delaying title defenses, James is defending her title. This Thursday night, Mickie James renews an old rivalry with Madison Rayne. Last week, the former color commentator felt she’d never get the same respect as James, despite being a 5-time Knockouts Champion.
Comparatively, Mickie James is only on her 4th reign and is hailed as an architect of the division. This Thursday night, Mickie James and Madison Rayne renew their rivalry as they clash over the coveted Knockouts Championship.
What Else To Expect
- Jake Something in action
- Knockouts Tag Team action
- The Learning Tree implodes?
