Black Label Pro Crowned New Champions | #AndNEW

This past Saturday, Black Label Pro featured a doubleheader that proved to be quite monumental. During the two shows, Black Label Pro Crowned new Champions. The opening show titled Erick Steven’s Presents Professional Wrestling the show’s namesake put this title on the line. The then BLP Champion and MLW talent Erick Stevens, put his title on the line against Calvin Tankman. The two men took each other to task. In a slugfest that saw both men battle and beat each other time and time again, the result was one that fans may not have seen coming.

After an absolute slugfest, Tankman walked away as the winner AND NEW Black Label Pro Champion. In what should have been a sign of respect by another talent on the show, turned into ‘something’ rather ugly. Current IMPACT! Wrestling star and one half of The Deaners, Jake Something appeared to congratulate new champion Tankman. However, Something hit Tankman low and turned a moment of glory into a moment of agony.

Earlier this year, Something earned a championship opportunity after winning the Greatest BLP Rumble this past January. He ‘cashed in’ his chance telling the referee that he planned on making this moment right here and now his time. After hitting his signature Blackhole Slam, it was academic, and Something became the NEW Black Label Pro Champion.

In the second of two events later on in the evening, Black Label Pro Presented We’re Back! This event showcased several remarkable matches. However, it was one match that could be singled out as new champions were crowned during this program. In a tag team championship match for the BLP Tag Team Championships, Ethan Page and Danhausen defended their titles against The Besties In The World. Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett are no strangers to championship gold holding titles in AAW Pro on numerous occasions.

The duo considered by many as the best-unsigned tag team in wrestling today once again proved why they are just that good. Their thirst for championship gold was once again quenched. This matchup was the duo’s first tag team match since the pandemic took place this past March. Kudos to both Danhausen and Ethan Page, who put in a valiant effort as well in this contest. For Vega and Fitchett, this is the second set of tag team titles they currently hold. They are the current reigning AAW Pro tag team champions, and the last recognized EVOLVE tag team champions.

With a new BLP Heavyweight Champion and new tag team champions, Black Label Pro has returned with a whole new focus. Congratulations to all.
