On February 5th, 1988 – the World Wrestling Federation presented The Main Event featuring Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan for the World Championship. On January 24th, 1988, the WWF presented the inaugural edition of the Royal Rumble 1988. The event took place at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. While over the years, fans have been able to watch subsequent Rumbles on closed-circuit television, pay-per-view, and now on the WWE Network, this event wasn’t televised at all.
