Will Saturday be the end of the Death Riders or the beginning of a new chapter in their reign of terror as we preview AEW Worlds End 2024?
As All Elite Wrestling moves into a new era with their big television and streaming deal starting in 2025, we have some really personal feuds and great matches heading into their final pay-per-view of 2024. It is time for the 2nd annual Worlds End in Orlando, Florida.
This card has a strong lineup of eight matches. We have five titles on the line, a personal feud for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and the crowning of the latest AEW Continental Classic winner. Let us look at what a strong card in Orlando should be.
AEW Worlds End 2024
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ricochet
(Continental Classic Semifinal)
For this year’s Continental Classic, the semi-finals are occurring on the Worlds End pay-per-view. Kazuchika Okada, the reigning AEW Continental Champion, finished with ten points in the Blue League. He is also one of the greatest tournament wrestlers of all time. He has previously won the G1 Climax tournament four times. Can he add to his legacy on Saturday night?
He will be facing Ricochet, the Gold League winner. Ricochet has certainly embraced his darker side in recent weeks. He has used dirty tactics to pick up his victories. The crowd has certainly turned on him too.
Who will win the battle between two of the most hated wrestlers in All Elite Wrestling? They are both among the best wrestlers in the world. Who will be most willing to go the extra mile to win and reach the finals of the Continental Classic?
AEW Worlds End 2024
Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher
(Continental Classic Semifinal)
The very personal rivalry continues between former friends Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. The stakes are quite high in their latest match, which will determine who advances to the Continental Classic finals.
Kyle Fletcher, the Blue League Winner, has certainly been on a roll since defeating Will Ospreay at AEW Full Gear. He wants to prove once and for all that he isn’t living in the shadow of Ospreay’s legendary career. Another victory over his former friend will go a long way towards that goal.
Will Ospreay, the Gold League runner-up, has a chance for revenge. Kyle Fletcher was one of the closest friends in his life, and the betrayal at WrestleDream certainly cut deep.
Can he defeat his former friend and get a chance at the Continental Classic? It could be another instant classic if this match is anything like their match at AEW Full Gear.
AEW Worlds End 2024
Kazuchika Okada (c) or Ricochet vs. Kyle Fletcher or Will Ospreay
(Continental Classic Final for the AEW Continental Championship)
The Continental Classic has been a great tournament in 2024. And it will end with the semi-finals and finals at AEW Worlds End. The winner will claim the tournament crown and the AEW Continental Championship.
We could have some unique storylines in the finals. We could have another match in the Ricochet/Will Ospreay rivalry. It is a chance for Kyle Fletcher to prove himself on the biggest stage possible.
Could Okada reclaim his crown as the greatest tournament wrestler of all time? It should be a fitting end to another wonderful Continental Classic.
AEW Worlds End 2024
Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
(AEW International Championship)
Powerhouse Hobbs sadly suffered a knee injury in April 2024. It kept him out of action for nearly six months, and the Don Callis Family seemingly forgot about him.
When Hobbs returned as Ricochet’s mystery tag team partner on November 6th, Dynamite, he set his sights on the Don Callis Family and the AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita. Can Takeshita survive the motivated Hobbs? It is certainly the Champion’s biggest test to date.
