And will Sting retire as a champion?  Let us look at what should be a truly emotional night in Greensboro.

AEW Revolution 2024
12-Man Tag
Bang Bang Scissor Gang vs. Private Party, Satnum Singh, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Willie Mack

This addition just came under the wire. At the present, we’re unsure of how the decision to put these twelve men in a match but it will likely warm up the crowd watching at home and in attendance.

AEW Revolution 2024
Julia Hart & Skye Blue vs. Kris Statlander & Willow Nightingale (w/Stokely Hathaway)
(Zero Hour Pre-Show)

Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue were the best of friends and also among the very best of the growing AEW Women’s Division.

That is until Julia Hart misted both competitors. Willow Nightingale recovered from that attack. Skye Blue went to the dark side and joined up with Julia Hart.

Willow has since joined forces with Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway. But Skye Blue and Julia Hart are constantly waiting in the wings.

This personal rivalry will finally come to a head in the Zero Hour Pre-Show. This feels like the beginning of a long-brewing feud.

AEW Revolution 2024
Chris Jericho vs. Wardlow vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer vs. Hook vs Brian Cage vs. Magnus vs. Dante Martin
(All-Star Scramble Match)
(Winner Gets Future AEW World Championship Match)

It was just two weeks ago on AEW Dynamite it was announced that “Meat Madness” would occur at AEW Revolution.

It was going to include Wardlow, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Lance Archer. But things quickly changed.

“Meat Madness” was canceled and replaced with the “All-Star Scramble Match” for Revolution. The match now includes Chris Jericho, Hook, Brian Cage, Dante Martin and CMLL’s Magnus.

The winner of this Scramble match will get a future AEW World Championship title shot. It should be a chaotic match with such high stakes.

AEW Revolution 2024
Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Will Ospreay, one of the best pro wrestlers in the world, has officially joined AEW full-time. In his previous appearances in All Elite Wrestling, he was allied with the Don Callis Family.

As he joined the company, he agreed to have a friendly competition against his Callis Family ally, Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution.

It is clearly a match between two of the best wrestlers in All Elite Wrestling. But can it remain a good competition between two allies?

It isn’t like Don Callis is known for his loyalty. Let us hope it remains a fair match; it could be one of the best on the entire card.

AEW Revolution 2024
Christian Cage (c) vs.  Daniel Garcia
(AEW TNT Championship)

Daniel Garcia has quickly become a fan favorite in All Elite Wrestling. He won his final match in the Continental Classic and proceeded to win a lot of singles matches in All Elite Wrestling and other companies in early 2024.

His only singles match that he didn’t win recently was a No Contest against Adam Copeland.

That match was to determine the Number One Contender for the AEW TNT Championship. Adam Copeland suffered a vicious attack that night, but Daniel Garcia did not.

On Sunday night, Garcia will get a shot against Christian Cage for his TNT Championship. Cage has naturally verbally attacked Garcia’s dead father on a recent AEW Dynamite.

Can Garcia overcome the mind games and the expected interference by The Patriarchy at AEW Revolution? But what if Garcia does actually overcome the odds? He will leave Greensboro with the biggest victory of his entire career.

AEW Revolution 2024
FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli)

The feud between FTR and the Blackpool Combat Club has certainly been quite personal in recent weeks. In February, FTR and the Blackpool Combat Club fought to a twenty-minute time-limit draw in a tag match.

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, FTR and Eddie Kingston lost a Trios Match to the BCC. Can FTR finally get one up on the Moxley and Castagnoli?

BCC has been making a lot of enemies in recent weeks. They have fought multiple matches against members of the CMLL roster.

Will this play a factor in this huge tag team match in Greensboro? It could possibly be the deciding factor in this tag match at AEW Revolution.

AEW Revolution 2024
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) (with Mariah May & Luther) vs. Deonna Purrazzo

(AEW Women’s World Championship)

“Timeless” Toni Storm has certainly become one of the most entertaining characters in all of professional wrestling. But has she finally met her match?

Her long-time friend and one of the most decorated wrestlers in the world, Deonna Purrazzo, joined All Elite Wrestling on the January 3, 2004 edition of AEW Dynamite.  Purrazzo immediately set her sights on Storm’s AEW Women’s World Championship.

Storm and Purrazzo have been playing mind games ever since that night. They usually will both compete in back-to-back matches on AEW Dynamite and Collision.

Purrazzo is undefeated in All Elite Wrestling. Can she be the one to end the “Timeless” Era? It should be a highlight in the improving AEW Women’s division.

AEW Revolution 2024
Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson
(Continental Crown Championship:
ROH World Championship, NJPW Strong Openweight Championship and AEW Continental Championship)

It was a special moment when Eddie Kingston won the Continental Classic at AEW Worlds End. He has since defended his Triple Crown Championship on numerous occasions. It has been an impressive run. But one competitor has not been impressed, Bryan Danielson.

Danielson, in his final year of full-time wrestling, has been quite active in AEW and even New Japan.

But his most heartbreaking recent loss was to Kingston in the Continental Classic Blue League Final last December. He refused to shake Eddie’s hand that night and has shown nothing but disrespect these past few months.

Danielson will get a shot against Kingston for his Continental Crown Championship at AEW Revolution.

If he wins, he becomes the Champion. But if he loses, he must shake Kingston’s hand. Kingston is always concerned about getting the respect he believes he deserves. Can he get it for Danielson on Sunday night?

AEW Revolution 2024
Orange Cassidy (c) vs.  Roderick Strong (with Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)
(AEW International Championship)

The Undisputed Kingdom has been terrorizing the AEW roster since debuting officially at last December’s AEW Worlds End. In recent weeks, they have set their sights on Orange Cassidy’s AEW International Championship.

It wasn’t enough to win the title; they had to slowly and deliberately remove Cassidy’s allies individually.

But they have also attacked Cassidy’s already injured back. And Strong is certainly famous for his backbreaker.

Can Cassidy overcome the odds again with a bad back and no allies? It seems like too much even for Orange to do for once.

AEW Revolution 2024
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Hangman Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)
(AEW World Championship)

The AEW World Championship Match is certainly filled with interesting storylines. Samoa Joe won the title at AEW Worlds End but it seems like he has been overshadowed by the long running feud between Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.

They both had a Number One Contenders Match on the AEW Dynamite in Phoenix that ended in a time-limit draw.

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, Page pretended to be injured just to attack Swerve yet again. This time with a crutch. Samoa Joe has watched all this with some level of amusement.

Will Page and Swerve focus on each other or the World Title opportunity on Sunday night? With Triple Threat rules, anything can happen.

AEW Revolution 2024
Sting & Darby Allin (c) (with Ric Flair) vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson)
(AEW World Tag Team Championship)

It all comes down to this. Sting announced on October 18, 2023, Dynamite that he would retire from in-ring competition at AEW Revolution 2024.

The last few months have been a fun ride, including Sting and Darby Allin winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Entering the final match of his legendary 39-year career as a champion is a special moment for Greensboro.

The opponents for Sting’s final match are Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. The EVPs of AEW are certainly throwing their clout around in the past few weeks.

The Young Bucks also attacked Sting & Darby Allin after they had just won the Tag Team titles, literally spilling their blood. That blood has been worn proudly on the Jackson’s white suits since that infamous attack.

Sting’s final match will be a Tornado Tag Team Match, with Darby Allin defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks.

We should expect a violent and chaotic match to end Sting’s career. Sting likely wouldn’t want it any other way. It should be a special moment to end AEW Revolution.
