It was an eventful AEW All Out pay-per-view on Sunday night as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 9/7/22. We had multiple title changes and some interesting moments in the media scrum after the show. So how will the events of AEW All Out affect things going forward for the company? Let us find out more about this important show in Buffalo in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 9/7/22
Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M & Rey Fenix) vs. Orange Cassidy & Best Friends (Trent Baretta & Chuck Taylor)
On Sunday night, PAC successfully defended the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Kip Sabin. Before PAC could celebrate his victory, an old foe emerged. It was Orange Cassidy, and he wanted to challenge PAC for his title. Before Cassidy could even speak, PAC walked away.
On AEW Dynamite, we will have a trios match between Death Triangle and Cassidy with the Best Friends. Who will gain the advantage on Wednesday night? It was PAC who was the first opponent that ever made Orange Cassidy “try.” I am sure the laziest man in wrestling will be ready in Buffalo. A chance at the AEW All-Atlantic Championship might just be on the line.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 9/7/22
Wheeler Yuta (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
(ROH Pure Championship)
Daniel Garcia has been on emotional journey these past couple of weeks. He was able to fight and defeat his hero, Bryan Danielson. Following the match, he gained Danielson’s respect. However, in doing so, he angered his mentor, Chris Jericho. Garcia was backstage watching Jericho cheat his way to victory over Danielson on Sunday night at AEW All Out. It was easy to tell he wasn’t pleased.
As punishment, Chris Jericho is making Daniel Garcia go it alone on Wednesday night. Garcia wanted the support of the Jericho Appreciation Society in the biggest match of his career. Garcia will get the chance to face Wheeler Yuta again for the Ring of Honor Pure Championship. The last time the two faced was at Death Before Dishonor in a wonderful match. Can Garcia finally defeat Yuta? It will be a battle of the two of the brightest young stars in all of AEW.
We’ll Hear From MJF
It was arguably the biggest moment of the night, and it occurred after the main event had ended. The Joker, who won the Casino Battle Royale, was revealed to be none other than the returning Maxwell Jacob Friedman. MJF was making his return to AEW after a three-month absence. It was certainly a surprise to see the Chicago crowd cheer MJF over their hometown hero CM Punk.
On Wednesday night, we will get MJF on a live mic for the first time since the June 1st episode of Dynamite. MJF has a guaranteed World Title match. With all the chaos that has been going on in AEW, is MJF going to be the savior of the company? And why is he working with Stokely Hathaway and his group of wrestlers? It will be great to see MJF again in All Elite Wrestling. He has been truly missed.
What To Expect:
- Will we learn about matches for the AEW Grand Slam?
- Will we hear from the new AEW Champion, CM Punk?
- What is next for Jon Moxley after his heartbreaking loss?
