It’s time for the 3-year anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite, which doubles as the go-home show ahead of Sunday’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view! Here is AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 5/25/22.

With Double or Nothing upon the horizon, this week will see AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page come face-to-face with challenger CM Punk. The Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments will continue as we look towards the finals on Sunday. Will ROH Tag Team Champions FTR be able to fend off their next challengers? Let’s get into it on this week’s AEW Dynamite IGNITE!

Hangman Page & CM Punk Come Face-to-Face

It’s time for AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page to come face-to-face with CM Punk, just four days before the two will face off for the AEW World Championship in the main event of Double or Nothing. Page is coming off a victory over DDT’s Konosuke Takeshita in an absolute barnstormer last week.

Following the victory, Page and Punk had an intense staredown, their feud getting more personal by the week. Is this the last time we’ll see Page on Dynamite as World Champion? We look forward to this final preview of an unpredictable AEW World Championship match.

    Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O’Reilly
(Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semi-final)

All Elite Wrestling on Twitter: "WEDNESDAY on #AEWDynamite marks the 3rd Anniversary of AEW's debut LIVE from Vegas at 8/7c on TBS! Dynamite features #OwenHart Foundation Men's Tournament Semifinal @KORCombat vs @ SamoaJoe
    [Photo: AEW]
The Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament continues as we’ll find out who will meet Adam Cole, after he defeated Jeff Hardy last week, in the finals at Double or Nothing. On one side, we have Cole’s Undisputed Elite stablemate in Kyle O’Reilly. The tag-team specialist was able to ground and submit the high-flying Rey Fenix in the quarterfinals last week after defeating Jungle Boy to qualify. O’Reilly vs. Cole on Sunday would certainly be interesting, as the two are no strangers to one another and have faced off in a slew of promotion including NXT, NJPW, ROH and PWG.

However, if O’Reilly wants to make it to Sunday, he’ll have to get through the ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe. Joe defeated Max Caster of The Acclaimed to qualify before destroying the Joker, a debuting Johnny Elite in the quarterfinals. With Joe’s eyes focused on O’Reilly could Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh make their presence known once again?

Toni Storm vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.
(Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semi-final)

In a tournament-finals worthy matchup, Toni Storm and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. will look to advance to Sunday’s tournament finals against the winner of Ruby Soho vs. Kris Statlander on Friday’s episode of Rampage. Storm defeated The Bunny to qualify before running through Baker’s protégée Jamie Hayter in the quarterfinals. Baker knocked-off Danielle Kamela to qualify before defeating the Joker Maki Itoh last week.

Will the recent-arrival Storm be able to rise to the next level in AEW’s women’s division or will Baker be able to rebound after her AEW Women’s World Championship loss to Thunder Rosa?

    Shawn Spears vs. Wardlow
Steel Cage Match w/MJF as Special Referee

    Image
    [Photo: AEW]
Wardlow is so close to getting his hands on MJF that he can taste blood. After agreeing to MJF’s ludicrous terms and taking ten belt lashes last week, only one task remains for Wardlow to get his match with MJF on Sunday.

He must defeat MJF’s right-hand (chair)man Spears inside of a steel cage. MJF will also server as special referee for the match and has threatened to disqualify Wardlow if he puts his hands on him. With Wardlow this close to getting what he wants; his hands on his former mentor and freedom from his contract to MJF, he can’t afford to lose focus. But how will the “Pig” possibly be able to get MJF to call a pin in his favour?

Jungle Boy vs. Swerve Strickland vs. Ricky Starks

    Image
    [Photo: AEW]
Jurassic Express has no easy task ahead of them Sunday, as last week we learned that they’ll defend their AEW Tag Team Championships against Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland, as well as Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz. On Dynamite, we’ll get a preview when one member of each team faces off in a triple-threat match.

With the underlying story of Christian Cage’s patience with Jungle Boy starting to wear thin, he’ll have to remain focused against both FTW Champion Starks and Strickland. Who will have momentum on their side heading into Double or Nothing?

    AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 5/25/22
    FTR vs. Roppongi Vice
    ROH World Tag Team Championship

    Image
    [Photo: AEW]
On last week’s edition of Dynamite, Rocky Romero and Trent declared their intentions to reunite full-time and laid down the challenge to AAA and ROH Tag Team Champions FTR, who promptly accepted on Friday’s Rampage.

FTR also made their future intentions clear; to also recapture the AEW World Tag Team titles and the IWGP Tag Team titles as well. First, they’ll have to get through the former four-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions in Roppongi Vice.

    What Else To Expect:

    • Will Thunder Rosa or Serena Deeb make a final statement ahead of their Women’s Championship Match?
    • Will things get more personal between the Young Bucks and the Hardys?
    • Will we see any final additions to the Double or Nothing card?
