AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 4/3/24 (Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe Contract Signing)

All Elite Wrestling has been putting on some solid shows in recent weeks with their recent additions to the roster as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 4/3/24.

The Road to AEW Dynasty seems to be coming into clearer focus. What comes next on this week’s AEW Dynamite?

This week’s AEW Dynamite will feature more tag team tournament matches and some big singles matches.

It has the makings of another fun night. In the latest edition of AEW Ignite, we’ll find out more about this card in Worcester.

Chris Jericho Calls Out Hook

At AEW Big Business, Hook defeated Chris Jericho in singles action. The following week, Jericho vowed to be a mentor for HOOK. It seemed the beginning of a new and exciting partnership.

But is it? For this Wednesday night, Chris Jericho has vowed to call out Hook. What does this mean? Will the new partnership end before it begins? We will find out in Worcester.

The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) vs.
Best Friends (Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta)
(AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal)

It is semifinal time to determine the new AEW World Tag Team Champion! The winner of this match will go onto the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view to fight for the belts. It is high stakes on Wednesday night.

The Young Bucks have been on a roll in recent weeks. They are motivated to become the first-ever three-time Tag Team Champions. Is the Elite going to collect more gold?

Their opponents are Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta. They are certainly the less experienced team, but they have been allies for years. This should be another exciting match in the latest AEW tournament.

Billy Gunn vs. Jay White

It was certainly an odd pairing to have Bullet Club Gold and The Acclaimed form “The Bang Bang Scissor Gang” after last December’s AEW Worlds End.

The partnership didn’t last too long as Bullet Club Gold attacked The Acclaimed at AEW Big Business. They occurred after they tried to help Darby Allin after Jay White’s match against Darby.

It got a little more personal last week. Bullet Club Gold entered Billy Gunn’s home during AEW Rampage. Gunn has vowed revenge and challenged White to a match on Dynamite.

Can the 60-year-old Gunn teach the leader of Bullet Club Gold a lesson on Wednesday night? It would certainly be quite the upset.

Mariah May vs. Thunder Rosa
(AEW Women’s World Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match)

Thunder Rosa has been on a roll. She is undefeated since returning from her year-long absence.

It is important to remember that Rosa never actually lost the AEW Women’s World Championship when she suffered her injury back in 2022. She is ready to reclaim what she never lost.

Enter Mariah May. May got a kiss from Toni Storm for getting a match against Thunder Rosa on this week’s AEW Dynamite.

The winner of this match will get a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Can the May/Storm partnership deny Rosa another shot? It should be a great match, for sure.

Will Ospreay vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Will Ospreay has certainly been putting on great matches in recent weeks. A lot of them are against fellow members of the Don Callis Family, like Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. He still has one member of The Family to face, Powerhouse Hobbs.

It will certainly be a contrast in style between the power of Hobbs and the high-flying of Ospreay. Another question is: Can the Don Callis Family continue to get along?

The important question will be answered on Wednesday night in this potential show-stealing match.

Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland Contract Signing

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland defeated Konosuke Takeshita in an excellent match. This win earned him a singles match against Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty, which will be for the AEW World Championship.

On this week’s Dynamite, it will be contract signing time! Swerve Strickland has come so close to winning the AEW World Championship but has been unsuccessful so far.

We know Samoa Joe will be playing some major mind games about the fact on Wednesday night. It should be fun to see the beginnings of this huge feud.

What To Expect:

  • What is next for Mercedes Moné?
  • Will we get a new challenger for AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland?
  • Will we learn more about AEW Dynasty?
