Welcome back to the NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 12/10/22, where we break down the card for this Saturday night’s NJPW STRONG on NJPW World. This week, we will see another three matches from the DETONATION event at The Vermont Hollywood. With only 3 Saturdays left in the year, the Young Lions of the LA Dojo are eager to gain momentum before the start of 2023.

On this week’s NJPW STRONG, Kenny King returns, and Christopher Daniels continues his feud with the LA Dojo. Finally, BULLET CLUB joins forces with Team Filthy in a colossal 8-man tag team main event. Here’s everything you can expect this Saturday night as we preview NJPW STRONG Synopsis for 12/10/22.

Gregory Sharpe vs. Kenny King

Kenny King made his NJPW STRONG debut last month at the NJPW Showdown series with an emphatic victory over Che Cabrera. This week, he seeks to establish a winning streak as he faces off against another NJPW STRONG hopeful, Gregory Sharpe. A West Coast indie circuit standout, Gregory Sharpe has been testing his skill in the tag division with fellow hopeful Jakob Austin Young.

However, those two have yet to put together a victory on Saturday nights. Things might change as Sharpe takes his shot in singles action. Can Sharpe dethrone the K-I-N-G or will Kenny King hit another Royal Flush to remain undefeated by the LA Dojo?

The DKC vs. Christopher Daniels

Following their second loss as a tag team, Christopher Daniels turned on Yuya Uemura, blaming him for their inability to capture the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships. However, after Uemura defeated Daniels at Autumn Action, The Fallen Angel found a new enemy: The rest of the LA Dojo.

Just last month, Daniels picked up a victory over Dojo Original and defender of the tribe Rocky Romero. Now Daniels has set his sights on a current Dojo member, The DKC. It’s been an impressive year for The DKC, earning significant wins and plying his craft in Japan. This Young Lion is set for a breakout year in 2023, and a win over an established veteran like Christopher Daniels may be just the way to kickstart his ascension.

Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Hikuleo), Alan Angels, & David Finlay vs. BULLET CLUB (Jay White & El Phantasmo) & West Coast Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs)

At NJPW Showdown, “Filthy” Tom Lawlor suffered a difficult loss at the hands of “The Notorious 187” Homicide. Following the match, Homicide produced a fork, with intent to drive the utensil into the forehead of Tom Lawlor.

It was then that Lawlor’s Team Filthy stablemate and former LAX member Danny Limelight came to the rescue, followed by Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson. However, after the members of Team Filthy came to the aid of their leader, they were joined by El Phantasmo, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson of BULLET CLUB. In that moment, we saw the foundation of an unholy alliance between Team Filthy and BULLET CLUB.

In this Saturday’s main event, “Switchblade” Jay White and El Phantasmo of BULLET CLUB join forces with Team Filthy’s West Coast Wrecking Crew for the first time ever in this colossal 8-man tag team match.

In the opposite corner, Tama Tonga makes his long-awaited return to NJPW STRONG to team up with his brother Hikuleo along with Alan Angels and David Finlay. The last time we saw Tama Tonga on NJPW STRONG was at the Detonation event in 2020, where he defeated ACH on night one. Tama and Hikuleo have plenty of bad blood between them and Jay White over their treatment in BULLET CLUB.

The same can be said of David Finlay, who lost his tag team partner Juice Robinson to the villainous gaijin stable. Hikuleo has an upcoming NEVER Openweight Championship match against BULLET CLUB’s Karl Anderson, and a win over Jay White and El Phantasmo could give him the momentum to capture his first championship.

However, a win for BULLET CLUB and WCWC could mean the beginning of an all-new stable in NJPW STRONG. Look out for this pivotal main event this Saturday night on NJPW World.
