Madhouse Wrestling Outlaw State of Mind. The very first Madhouse Wrestling event earlier this year was a night full of great technical wrestling, wild brawls, and a chaotic main event. However, that night two men shined brightest; those two men were AJ Smooth and Clay Cooper.
Smooth opened the show by defeating longtime rival James Jeffries in the semifinals of the Madhouse Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Later in the evening, during the main event, Smooth became the very first Madhouse Wrestling Champion.
His donnybrook with 1 Called Manders is a “Match of the Year” contender. Chairs, tables, staple guns, and all types of weapons were used throughout. Smooth finally got the win with a devastating powerbomb on a table wrapped in barb wire.
“That night meant I was right all along because I knew that I was better than James Jeffries and Manders,” Smooth said. “They’re both very tough, but neither of them are ruthless enough to win at any cost,”
Midway through that same show, Clay Cooper made a claim for the first opportunity at Smooth’s Championship when he won an out-of-control six-way scramble match. Then, Cooper defeated Saint Jimmy Wylde, Augustus Draven, Ricky Bronson, and Dustan Moseley in one of the wildest matches of the year.
His shooting star press onto his competitors from the top turnbuckle to the floor was a thing of beauty.

But, the moment that will live forever in Madhouse Wrestling lore was his leap from the Countryside Wedding and Events Center balcony to the ring. It was a star-turning performance that catapulted him to this Saturday’s main event.
“It meant a lot to me to be able to perform and get the win in front of many friends and family that night,” Cooper said. “Madhouse and I are a great fit together; there are no rules, so I’m finally free to do literally whatever I want, which basically means you’ll get to see me completely uncaged.”
Now, these two meet in a fight to the finish that has “Match of the Year” contender written all over it. Both bring their own unique style to this match. Smooth, viciously technical compared to Cooper’s agility and complete lack of fear. Both are willing to do whatever it takes to hold the Madhouse Championship.
“I see this fight ending with a new Madhouse Champion. One of us is going to have to take an ER trip afterwards, and it could be me. I’ll be honest, but if they force me to go to the ER, you bet your ass that title is coming with me.” – Clay Cooper.
“The Madhouse Championship is a chance for me to showcase that I’m a better wrestler than some of these guys are brawlers. Bring your chairs, tables, trash cans, and kendo sticks. I’ll bring the wrestling and win.” – AJ Smooth.
This fight to the finish headlines what should be another show built for the wild, wild west. The rest of the card is full of electrifying matchups.

Madhouse Wrestling Wrestling Tag Team Championship Match
“The Whiskey Dicks” Justin Decent & Malice vs. “Chillileo” Gable Galileo & Max Chill
Saturday night, the first-ever Madhouse Wrestling Tag Team Champions will be crowned. In the Whiskey Dicks and Chillielo, you have two teams that genuinely despise each other. At Madhouse Wrestling, “We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes,” Justin Decent and Gable Galileo met in a Knuxville Street Fight.
Both men were armed with brass knuckles, and they had themselves a good old-fashioned barroom brawl. But, of course, Galileo wasn’t alone as his BFF Max Chill was right by his side. With continued assistance from Chill, Gable earned the victory. He was sealing the win with a brass knuckle-covered right hand.
Adding insult to injury, Chillileo assaulted Decent after the match. That was until Madhouse founder Malice came out to make the save. Malice and a re-energized Decent chased off the nefarious duo after delivering some damage of their own.
Kendo stick shots left bruises on the backs of both Galileo and Chill. Before Chillileo made their escape to the locker room, Malice announced that at the next Madhouse show, the Tag Titles would be on the line between the two teams.
Making matters even more combustible is the fact that Ugly will serve as a special guest referee. Saturday, this rivalry goes to eleven.

Last Outlaw Match
Bo Gott vs. Daniel Mott vs. Ricky Bronson vs. Cole Cannon vs. Ethan Everheart vs. The Big Picture vs. Jaxon King vs. Zay K-47 vs. Mystery Opponent vs. Mystery Opponent
This one is going to get nuts. Ten bad hombres looking to prove who is truly the baddest. Each man is able to bring with them one weapon to the ring for this battle royal. Looking at the outlaws in this match, there is no better place to start than with the “Death Match Daddy” Bo Gott.
A man whose reputation in out-of-control death matches speaks for itself. If there is a favorite heading into this match, it’s him. Making his Madhouse debut, Daniel Mott is a wild card in this match. Mott brings an element of chaos that his competition might not be ready for.
Ricky Bronson competed at the first Madhouse show in March. Putting on a solid performance during the six-man scramble match, he enters Saturday laser-focused on bringing destruction.

Cole Cannon was out with an injury during the first Madhouse show and has been on a tear across Iowa since returning. This is another huge opportunity for him to make a statement.
Much like Cannon, Ethan Everheart has been making a name across a handful of promotions in the midwest. His frenetic pace and motor that won’t quit make him a perfect fit for this match.
The Big Picture is the biggest man in this match. His size might give him an advantage heading in. However, the intensity he brings makes him a top contender to earn a victory. Zay K-47 is young but has been gaining experience across a plethora of promotions.
His strength and athleticism make him a dark horse in this contest. The “Lone Diamond” Jaxon King has recently adopted a vicious streak. That’s something he will need if he wants to emerge as the last outlaw standing.
The two mystery competitors make this match even more intriguing, the element of the unknown making it even more chaotic.

Hardcore Hoss Fight
Lars Metzger vs. The Death Dealer
During Madhouse Wrestling “We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes,” Lars Metzger picked up an impressive win over Matty Star. The spear through the table to win the match was a sight to see. However, a man who saw the chaos that Metzger brings to the squared circle was the Death Dealer.
Not afraid of going to the extreme himself, the Death Dealer now steps up to the challenge of being Metzger’s second Madhouse opponent. Hoss’ fight definitely sums up this match up perfectly. Two monsters willing to inflict all types of damage to get the victory.

Arjun Singh vs. Jeremy Wyatt
This is the match Madhouse promoter Luke Raven feels could steal the show. In one corner, we have Jeremy Wyatt. A technical wizard who many think is one of the very best wrestlers in the midwest.
Facing Wyatt on Saturday is Arjun Singh, who is paving his own legacy across the independent wrestling scene. Singh is ripped and as technically sound as they come.
He’s had opportunities in AEW and has trained wrestlers for the Great Khali’s promotion Continental Wrestling Entertainment. The experience in this match is off the charts, which is a big reason why this could end up being the “Match of the Night.”

Kody Lane vs. Matty Star
Matty Star left the very first Madhouse Wrestling show with a bitter taste in his mouth. Star lost a hard-fought contest to Lars Metzger, something the Madhouse fans relished in. Not one to take a loss lightly, Star will come to Knoxville in a foul mood Saturday night.
A mood that will make him a very dangerous man. Star’s opponent Saturday night, Kody Lane, will be more than ready to match Star’s intensity. From brawling to high-flying athleticism, Lane isn’t afraid to mix it up in any style that comes his way.
This has classic written all over it.
The outlaws will be in full force Saturday night at the Countryside Wedding and Events Center in Knoxville. Madhouse Wrestling “Outlaw State of Mind” begins at 6:30 PM Saturday night.
