Australian wrestling is all the buzz at the moment and this coming weekend there is plenty of action for the fans. On Saturday, February 2nd, 2018 the women and men of Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) presents their event Uprising. Uprising will be held at the Thornbury Theatre where MCW hold only a few of their super card events each year making Uprising well worth the price of admission. If you are unable to attend the event live then you can catch it all on the MCW Encore streaming on-demand service from their website https://vimeo.com/ondemand/mcwencore/ . The card for Uprising is red hot and surely one you will not want to miss.
First up on the card we have a match between Stevie Filip and his brother Tome Filip. The MCW fans absolutely love Stevie, so much that the chants of “Stevie’s better” would be chanted as the two brothers would work as a tag team. The chants have finally got to Tome and he wants to prove everyone wrong by showing the world just what he can do. These two brothers will hold nothing back and will deliver a high paced, high flying spectacle that will not disappoint.

A match that I feel has the potential to steal the show will be Avary vs Indi Hartwell. Indi Hartwell cost Avary victory at the previous MCW event Vendetta which sparked this match between these two. Indi Hartwell has a lot of confidence heading into this encounter and looks to continue her impressive run. Avary would love nothing more then to get some measure of retribution on Hartwell.
MCW fans will be excited for the return of Mikey Nicholls as he will step inside the ring with Southern Pro Wrestling NZ’s JK Moody. JK Moody issued a challenge to the MCW management to give him anyone they had, well his wish was answered in the form of Mikey Nicholls. This one is for the pride of MCW and Mikey Nicholls will show The Antidote, JK Moody, exactly what he is all about.
These three excellent matches are also joined by the announcement of Ritchie Taylor vs Mike Burr. These two competitors suffered defeat at MCW Vendetta so they will both be eager to get back to winning form.
MCW Uprising already has a stunning line up of matches and more will most than be added by the time February 2nd rolls around. MCW has a rich roster of competitors that include the likes of Robbie Eagles and Adam Brooks who was recently announced for Wrestle Summit, so there is going to be lots in store for Aussie wrestling fans worldwide to enjoy. So kick back this Saturday and enjoy some of the best that Australian Wrestling has to offer with MCW Uprising.
