The latest event of Ice Ribbon Wrestling featured the heralded annual Kizuna tournament. In the tournament, junior Joshi wrestlers partner up with the more veteran members of the roster. The juniors are allowed to pick the veterans they want to work with. Starting from the newest junior to the longest active junior.
The tournament featured teams such as Yuki Masahiro & Makoto, Tae Honma & Syuri. Ibuki Hoshi & Tsukushi, Matsuya Uno & Risa Sera, and many more. The winners of last year’s tournament Akane Fujita & Asahi also were eligible. It took place at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Many fans were excited to see who would win the tournament. With many looking forward to seeing Suzu Suzuki and Maya Yukihi teaming up. Especially as Suzuki defeated Yukihi for the promotion’s top championship earlier in the year.
In the first match of the quarter-finals, Ibuki Hoshi & Tsukushi took on Hamuko Hoshi and Yappy. Hoshi and Tsukushi were able to win the match in quick fashion, in less than 7 minutes! Other quarter-final winners were Maika Ozaki & Kaicho Ram. Akane Fujita & Asahi, Suzu Suzuki, and Maya Yukihi, HIROe & Tsukasa Fujimoto.
