Welcome to the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 6/24/20! It is the final show before Fyter Fest! What will we learn about those two amazing shows? We know five matches for the two super cards, but we still have a lot to be determined.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) vs. Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall)

    Photo / AEW

The Natural Nightmares lost in their opportunity to win the AEW Tag Team Championship on last week’s Dynamite. QT Marshall was a bit distracted by Allie and it proved to be the mistake that cost them the match. Can the Natural Nightmares get back on track this week?

The problem is they are facing FTR. FTR won their debut on AEW Dynamite recently. They are out to prove they are the greatest tag team in the world. Can The Natural Nightmares really test FTR this week on Dynamite?

    Jon Moxley In Action

    Photo / AEW

It is time for the World Champion to fight again. In recent weeks, Jon Moxley has been watching from the commentary table as Brian Cage had destroyed opponents in the ring. This week the tables will be turned.

Taz, the coach of Brian Cage, will be at the commentary table this week. He has been doing a pretty good job of playing mind games with the World Champion. What will he and Brian Cage have in store for Moxley in the last show before the Fyter Fest’s World Championship Match?

    Hikaru Shida In Action

It is time for the AEW Women’s Champion to compete! The Champion hasn’t been too active since winning the title from Nyla Rose at AEW Double or Nothing. It will be great to see her finally compete on Dynamite again. She has an upcoming match for the title against Penelope Ford at Fyter Fest. Will the Super Bad Girl make her presence felt on Wednesday night during Shida’s contest?

    Cody’s Press Conference

Cody has been faithful to his word and has successfully defended the TNT Championship the last three weeks on AEW Dynamite. He has defeated Jungle Boy, Marq Quen, and Ricky Starks to retain the TNT Championship. It is now time for a new challenger in Jake Hager at Fyter Fest.

I don’t know what a Fyter Fest Press Conference will entail. But if history teaches us anything, it will include an excellent Cody promo and a brawl with Jake Hager. That seems as good a way as any to hype their upcoming TNT Championship match.

    Matt Hardy vs. Santana

    Photo / AEW

It is essential to note this match was initially supposed to be Matt Hardy versus Sammy Guevara. However, due to the recent comments of Sammy Guevara, will be replaced by his Inner Circle stable mate Santana. It should be a good match-up with the excellent Santana involved.

The added wrinkle to this match is its unique stipulation. The fans have a vote in which Matt Hardy will be fighting on Wednesday Night. Will it be Broken Matt, Unkillable Matt, and Old School Matt? I can’t say I know the winning vote, but it will be fun to watch regardless.

    Lumberjack Match:

    Luchasaurus vs. Wardlow

    Photo / AEW

It will be a rare treat to see two of the biggest guys in AEW go face to face on Wednesday night. This match is part of the ongoing feud between MJF and Jungle Boy. Those two had an excellent match at AEW Double or Nothing. But both Jurassic Express and MJF/Wardlow have continued their feud in recent weeks. If you throw in the Lumberjack stipulation than it should be a sleeper match of the night.

Mr. Brodie Lee & Colt Cabana vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss

The idea of Colt Cabana joining the Dark Order in recent weeks sure seems like a strange one. Would the generally comedic wrestler really be a good fit in a cult? It is hard to say but it should be fun to watch this storyline develop in the coming weeks.

The opponents for Lee/Cabana on this week’s AEW Dynamite are Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss. They have actually teamed up before on AEW Dark on multiple occasions. Will that give them an advantage in this unique tag team match-up?

Chris Jericho & Orange Cassidy Face-Off

I have a confession to make. I love Orange Cassidy. It seems I am not alone as he constantly got the best reactions from the AEW fans in the Pre-Pandemic Era. He seems to have been rewarded for his great work with a feud with Chris Jericho and a big match at Fyter Fest.

A face-off between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy should be a lot of fun. Jericho can be a great comedic wrestling talent and this face-off should give him a real chance to do so. And don’t forget Orange Cassidy could actually try and be a truly dangerous man in the ring. It will be fun to watch on Wednesday night and a wonderful match at Fyter Fest as well.
