Monday Night Raw is live from Cleveland, Ohio as they kick things off with a video recap of the ongoing saga between “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. This week, we’ll hear from Seth after he showed up to Bray’s Firefly Fun House and burned it down last week. The main event of the Street Profits and a mystery partner against the OC is slated to take place.
The 16-time champion and two-time WWE Hall of Famer, The Nature Boy Ric Flair came out first to start the show. He talked about the upcoming Team Flair vs Team Hogan matchup at Crown Jewel. He was there to reveal his team’s fifth and final member. And that member turned out to be The Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre. He accepted Flair’s offer and promised a preview of what’s going to happen at Crown Jewel by defeating Ricochet in a single’s match.
Drew McIntyre vs Ricochet
Ric Flair took up a ringside seat during this match. Drew took control early with his powerful offense but Ricochet fought valiantly, picking up a few new falls along the way. McIntyre in the end was too much for WWE’s Resident Superhero and picked up the win with a Claymore Kick. After the match was over, Drew continued to beat Ricochet down. He tossed him outside the ring and flapjacked him face first onto the steel ring steps.

Aleister Black did another of his darkroom promos and the basic gist of it was, yep you guessed it; he’s looking for a fight. One of Raw’s newest superstars took on a local wrestler named Jason Reynolds, who had a slight size & weight advantage over Aleister. It wasn’t exactly your standard ‘squash match’ as Reynolds got his offense in a few times before suffering a Black Mass and having his shoulders pinned to the mat for the three count.
The King’s Court with Rusev
Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler hosted an episode of his “King’s Court” talk show to converse with The Bulgarian Brute, Rusev. As we all know, since his return to television, Rusev’s wife Lana has been openly having a scandalous affair with Bobby Lashley. Before Rusev can explain to Jerry how he feels, Lana and Lashley pop up on the big screen, apparently, they’re at some restaurant that Rusev never took Lana, to. Rusev said he knew exactly where the couple were and he was going to find them. He bailed out of the ring on a mission.
Another new Raw draft pick, Andrade, along with Zelina Vega headed to the ring for a one-on-one match with Sin Cara. Zelina told the WWE Universe that since Andrade is now on Raw, everything is about to change. Sin Cara, who we haven’t seen on WWE television for almost a year, fought with plenty of pride and heart but could not overcome the presence of Zelina Vega, whose distraction helped her business associate pick up the win by hitting Sin Cara with the Hammerlock DDT.

Viking Raiders vs Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder
The new WWE Raw Tag Team Champions the Viking Raiders took on former champions, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Hawkins and Ryder said they weren’t worried about facing the champions, they’re just grateful for the opportunity. They used that opportunity a little different than they were hoping for as they fell victim to the champions via The Viking Experience. The champions win again.
Rusev showed up to the restaurant he’d traced Lashley and Lana to. He stormed in and attacked Lashley while Lana stood on a booth and screamed. Authorities eventually came and got him out of there while Lashley comforted Lana after such a scary event.
Ladies and Gentleman my name is…Shelton Benjamin?
Mr. 619 himself, Rey Mysterio came down to ringside to address the WWE Universe. He talked about his relationship with Cain Velasquez as well as the upcoming match with Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel. Paul Heyman would interrupt Rey to tell him that Brock has been seething for the last nine years to get vengeance on Velasquez. Rey cut Heyman off to a slight rise out of the crowd only to himself be cut off by Shelton Benjamin. He puts Brock over (They were teammates at The University of Minnesota) and begins to pick on Rey, who has his arm in a sling. He asked where Cain was to save him. Well, he asked for it and he got it because Cain Velasquez hit the ring and put Shelton Benjamin to sleep and checked on his buddy, Rey Mysterio.
Looks like @sheltyb803 got in trouble after running his mouth…@cainmma is here on #RAW! Ain't no stopping CAIN VELASQUEZ now! ? pic.twitter.com/S1t3TAbRTc

In his first matchup on Raw since being drafted, Humberto Carrillo took on WWE Universal Champion, Seth Rollins, whose Twitter notifications have been on fire the last few days. With no appearance by The Fiend, the crowd grew restless, despite Humberto having a pretty good showing against a somewhat arrogant Universal Champion. A Curb Stomp would cement the victory by Rollins, who offered Humberto Carrillo a handshake after their match.
What a night?! ?

The OC vs Street Profits and ??
After beating down the Street Profits last week, The O.C. was set to do battle with the Monday Night Raw hosts in a six-man tag team match. The match ended up as more of a regular tag team match with WWE United States Champion, AJ Styles standing at ringside. The Street Profits are finally having their main roster debut after months of backstage hosting and requesting ‘the smoke.’ The O.C. would give Ford and Dawkins all the smoke they could handle, even though as Styles noted earlier, “it’s illegal in Cleveland.” He tried to insert himself in the match but was ejected by the referee only to meet Kevin Owens, making his return to Monday Night Raw. The Street Profits would capitalize on the distraction to pick up their first main roster victory over the OC.
This was more of a promotional build for the Crown Jewel event, seeing as Lana (NOT Becky Lynch) was the only woman featured on the show.
