Amidst the addition of Kylie Rae to IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound for Glory pay per view, another name has been added to the mix. Independent wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart is the third member in a triple threat match involving Rae, Laynie Luck, and Blackheart on Saturday, October 19th for the Zero Pro Women’s championship. It is a crazy busy time as Shotzi Blackheart is to compete for IMPACT Wrestling.

Yesterday, a report came out from Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens that the 26-year-old independent wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart had signed a developmental deal with the WWE. The California native has competed for promotions all over North America, in particular, EVOLVE and previously with IMPACT Wrestling. Blackheart competed on EVOLVE’s 10th Anniversary event that also aired on the WWE Network.

    Familiarity with Both Promotions

Blackheart is no stranger to the WWE or IMPACT Wrestling. In 2018, she had been a part of the Tough Enough reality program. For those unaware of Blackheart, she first burst onto the independent wrestling scene in 2015. This was as part of the RiSE promotion. Since her debut, Shotzi Blackheart has competed in Europe along with other notable promotions. With time in companies such as SHIMMER and IWA Mid-South, Blackheart excelled. Blackheart competed for IMPACT Wrestling in 2018 in two matches for the company both in losing effort. She is a multiple-time champion. This included being the current SHINE Nova Champion and in her second reign as the Sabotage War of the Genders Champion. Blackheart was quick to refute the rumors.

Madison’s Mindset: ‘The Ballsy Badass’ is one of many current independent stars that are catching the attention of major promotions. She is decorated with a look and attitude that is gritty and hardcore as it is intense. Shotzi Blackheart has set the independent wrestling world on fire. With Session Moth Martina recently signing a deal with Ring of Honor and Tenille Dashwood signing with IMPACT Wrestling tons of talent are in demand.

I will explore the details inside and outside the ring and hopefully have a laugh with you in the process. I've had the fortune to interview wrestlers from Lucha Underground, TNA, Ring of Honor, GFW, and former WWE talent as well. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @TheMarcMadison
