This week’s episode of NXT begins with a solid video package hyping the counterculture nature of the brand itself. From there, we kick things off with what looks to be the match of the show, if not the night, with the NXT Championship on the line! The main event features the Street Profits against the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag team championships.
Match 1: Matt Riddle vs. Adam Cole (c) (NXT Championship)
Riddle takes down Cole several times to begin. Riddle hooks in the Fujiwara armbar, but Cole quickly reaches the ropes. Riddle hits a sequence of gutwrench suplexes on Cole before following up with stiff kicks. This causes Cole to fall out of the ring. Cole lands a jumping roundhouse kick on Riddle as the action spills to the outside. Back in the ring, Cole is in control, hitting a back elbow. Cole nails the ushigoroshi, but it’s only good for a two-count. Following a leg grip, Cole nails Riddle with a big kick to the face.
Riddle and Cole exchange strikes, with the former getting the better of the exchange. Riddle lands a few forearms, an exploder suplex, a Bro-Ton, and a penalty kick in rapid fashion! They exchange move attempts before Riddle gets the advantage with the fisherman buster! 1… 2… Cole kicks out! Riddle nails the deadlift German suplex, but Cole once again kicks out at two. Cole hits a backstabber in mid-air! 1… 2… Riddle kicks out! The crowd is hot for this match!

Cole and Riddle exchange a series of heated moves capped off with another ushigoroshi by Cole for the two-count! Cole kicks Riddle off the apron and dives off, only for Riddle to counter with the knee! Back in the ring, Riddle goes for the Floating Bro, but Cole gets the knees up! Panama Sunrise by Cole! 1… 2… Riddle kicks out again! Cole goes for the Last Shot, but a fatigued Riddle drops on his front. Cole goes for another Panama Sunrise, but Riddle nails the Bro-To-Sleep, a powerbomb, a knee strike, followed by the Floating Bro! 1… 2… Cole kicks out!
They make their way to the top rope, where they exchange strikes. Riddle chops Cole off the top, but Cole catches Riddle with a series of kicks, followed by a Panama Sunrise! Cole misses the Last Shot, which leads to Riddle cinches in the Bro-Mission! Cole counters with a roll-up, but Riddle kicks out! Riddle quickly locks in the Fujiwara armbar! Cole locks in the crucifix pin but Riddle once again kicks out. Riddle goes for another armbar, but Cole hits the elbow followed by the Last Shot for the 1… 2… 3!

As Cole celebrates in the ring, Finn Balor’s theme plays! The returning Balor makes his way to the ring to the ovation of the Full Sail University crowd as a disbelieving Cole stands in the ring. Balor takes the mic, declaring that he is NXT! Balor’s music plays as Cole makes his way to the back.
Following a video package hyping Candice LeRae versus Shayna Bazler for the NXT Women’s Championship later tonight, Velveteen Dream is seen on the stage, sitting on a luxurious couch surrounded by women. Dream focuses on Roderick Strong, who beat him for the NXT North American Championship, challenging him to a rematch.
Next week, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak defends his title against Lio Rush!
Match 2: Io Shirai vs. Mia Yim
They exchange shoves to begin. Yim quickly takes advantage, nailing a big boot in the corner on Shirai. Yim hits a baseball slide on Shirai on the outside, where the action progresses. Yim rolls Shirai back in the ring, but Shirai counters with a kick. Shirai rolls Yim back in the ring as we cut to commercial. The show returns to Yim attempting to get the advantage, only for Shirai to execute a dragon screw. Yim slaps Shirai across the face, but Shirai takes control yet again. Shirai lands the flapjack followed by a handstand moonsault. 1… 2… Yim kicks out!

Shirai misses the double knees in the corner. Yim counters a tiger bomb attempt and hits an overhead belly-to-belly throw. Yim nails a series of hooks and follows up with various strikes, including a basement dropkick. 1… 2… Shirai kicks out! Yim hits a series of kicks to Shirai’s chest. Shirai nails the hurricanrana for the two-count! Shirai hits the 619 followed by a springboard dropkick! 1… 2… Yim kicks out! Yim hits the Code Blue! 1… 2… Shirai powers out!
Yim lands a suicide dive on Shirai before the show goes to commercial. The show returns to Shirai catching Yim on the top turnbuckle, where they exchange blows. Shirai hits the superplex! 1… 2… Yim kicks out! Shirai hits the moonsault for the 1… 2… 3!

Match 3: Johnny Gargano vs. Shane Thorne
They exchange holds to begin, evading strikes as well. Gargano rolls up Thorne for a two-count. Gargano attempts the Gargano Escape, but Thorne quickly makes it to the ropes. Thorne hits a back suplex before the show cuts to commercial. The show returns with Thorne in control, hitting an uppercut. Gargano returns fire with a series of clotheslines. Gargano nails Thorne with a low kick before dumping him out of the ring. Gargano goes for a suicide dive, Thorne hits a forearm, but Gargano manages to catch him with the dive a second time!

Back in the ring, Gargano hits the slingshot spear for a two-count! Gargano hits the double knees in the corner, but Thorne counters with a leg lariat followed by a cannonball in the corner! Thorne hits a sit-out powerbomb! 1… 2… Gargano kicks out! Thorne lays in several kicks to the seated Gargano. Thorne goes for another kick, but Gargano counters with several strikes. Gargano battles back still with a big clothesline! Thorne lands a roundhouse kick, to which Gargano responds with a poisonrana!

Match 4: Candice LeRae vs. Shayna Baszler (c) (NXT Women’s Championship)
Baszler takes control early on, but LeRae lands an enziguri before sending the champion out of the ring. LeRae hits a springboard crossbody to the outside before another commercial break plays. From commercial, Baszler takes control once again, dumping LeRae to the outside. Baszler launches LeRae into the steel steps! Baszler viciously attacks the arm of LeRae with a kick against the steps, stalking her back in the ring afterward. LeRae attempts a German suplex off the ring apron, but Baszler escapes, only for LeRae to plant her on the apron to the ovation of the crowd! LeRae catches Baszler with a dive! LeRae executes a second dive! Finally, LeRae hits a third!

LeRae and Baszler start to fight on the top rope, Baszler executing an avalanche gut-wrench suplex! From commercial break, LeRae takes advantage with a snap German suplex. Baszler goes for a Kirifuda Clutch, but LeRae counters with one of her own! Baszler escapes as she hooks LeRae with a hanging Kirifuda Clutch from the top! LeRae nails a diving spinning neckbreaker, but it’s only good for a two-count. Baszler goes for another Kirifuda Clutch, but LeRae counters into a close pin attempt. LeRae goes for La Quebrada, to which Baszler counters with Kirafuda Clutch! Baszler is too much for LeRae as she’s forced to tap out.

Match 5: Pete Dunne vs. Danny Burch
Both competitors exchange holds and strike attempts to begin. This exchange gains an ovation from the crowd. Dunne catches Burch with a stiff lariat as we go to commercial. The show returns to both men exchanging blows. Dunne executes a German suplex, stepping on Burch’s hands, kicking him in the head, and landing a sit-out powerbomb! Burch hits a big headbutt and executes a rope-hang DDT! 1… 2… Dunne kicks out! They continue to exchange strikes, with Dunne snapping Burch’s fingers. Dunne lands the Bitter End for the 1… 2… 3!

As Dunne celebrates in the ring, the lights go out. Suddenly, Damian Priest attacks Dunne from behind, landing the rolling cutter! Priest poses before making his way up the ramp.
Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews Adam Cole. The NXT Champion is greeted by his fellow Undisputed Era teammates, who complain about Balor. Cole tells them that the priority is to Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Wale hypes Street Profits as they make their entrance for the next match of the night.
Match 6: Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) (c) (NXT Tag Team Championship)
Dawkins and O’Reilly the Street Profits and Undisputed Era start things off. Dawkins catches O’Reilly with a shoulder tackle before members of both teams have a standoff. O’Reilly tags in Fish before Dawkins tags in Ford. As Ford of the Street Profits takes control, Fish of the Undisputed Era slides out of the ring, which leads the show into commercial. Coming back, Ford starts to build momentum, only to be shortly cut off by Fish. O’Reilly is tagged back in and he continues the onslaught with a series of kicks. O’Reilly strikes various parts of Ford’s body before taunting Dawkins. Ford kips up as he and O’Reilly exchange strikes. Ultimately, O’Reilly gets the better of the exchange.
Fish is tagged back in as he continues to lay in strikes on the fallen Ford. O’Reilly is tagged in as he and Fish execute a double suplex on Ford. O’Reilly of the Undisputed Era hits a knee strike on Ford of the Street Profits before tagging in Fish. Ford tries to fight back but is overwhelmed by the champions. Fish hits a trio of snap suplexes on Ford. O’Reilly is tagged back in before he and Fish hit stereo kicks on Ford, which leads to another commercial. The show returns to Ford continuing to struggle against the champions. Ford hits the ura nage on the legal man O’Reilly but struggles to tag in Dawkins, who is pulled from the apron.
O’Reilly and Fish of the Undisputed Era continue the attack on Ford of the Street Profits, double-teaming him. Fish, who is now the legal man, gets the two-count. Fish tags in O’Reilly as he continues to keep Ford in the champions’ corner. O’Reilly tags in Fish, who locks in an abdominal stretch on Ford. Finally, Ford tags in Dawkins, who lays in several strikes to the champions off the hot tag! Dawkins lands 360 corner splashes followed by big tackles. Dawkins and O’Reilly exchange strikes, only for Dawkins to hit the leg capture suplex for the two-count! O’Reilly hits the charging Dawkins with the knee, keeping him the champions’ corner. Dawkins dumps O’Reilly over the corner, causing to crash onto Fish.

Fish hits a diving knee onto the leg of Dawkins, transitioning into a leg lock. Meanwhile, Fish locks in a guillotine on Ford, who manages to break up both submissions! Fish misses a top rope dive, to which Ford capitalizes with a frog splash! 1… 2… Fish kicks out! Street Profits go for their finish but O’Reilly saves his partner. As they brawl with Dawkins on the outside, Ford hits a plancha over the ring post! Suddenly, Strong interferes but is tackled by Dawkins. This allows O’Reilly and Fish to hit the high low combination for the 1… 2… 3!

Fish, O’Reilly, and Strong celebrate in the ring. Cole stands on the stage to celebrate as well. Suddenly, the theme of Tommaso Ciampa plays! The returning Ciampa makes his entrance, staring down Cole and his NXT Championship. Ciampa and Cole stare down one another to end this week’s episode of NXT.
