Earlier today, AEW announced locations for its upcoming TV shows. According to All Elite Wrestling, the promotion’s weekly TV show will emanate from the Agganis Arena, in Boston, Massachusetts, on October 9th. The promotion’s third episode, which will take place on October 16th, will air live from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For those that are interested in attending one or both of these events, ticket information will be shared on Friday.
The location for AEW’s first-ever TV episode will be the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. For those that haven’t been able to get tickets, which sold out in surprisingly quick fashion, fans can tune in to TNT, at 8 PM EST, to witness all the action.

Sutter’s Synopsis: On the surface, AEW announces the venues of future events may not seem exciting for those that live outside of these locations for TV shows. While it’s good to have confirmation, those that cannot make the trip may not pay much heed to this. However, it’s worth looking at how these venues operate and what this says about the promotion moving forward.
For those that don’t know, the Agganis Arena and Liacouras Center are fairly midsized venues. The former holds a little over 7,000 occupants while the Liacouras Center houses approximately 10,200 people. This may be the best move for AEW in the short term. Despite the immense popularity of its previous events, Double or Nothing, Fyter Fest, and Fight for the Fallen, it’s safe to say that the promotion is still in a proving ground phase. In other words, it would behoove AEW to test the waters with smaller venues before making their way up to larger venues.
The only way that this growth will occur is if AEW continually puts out content that long-time and passionate wrestling fans desire. The aforementioned events helped the company to test the waters and it won’t be long until they take everything they’ve learned and put it to the test.
