Hello one and all, and welcome to your weekly wrestling news catch up article. So sit back, put your feet up, and get involved with Week In Review for 11/18/18!

Lynch v Rousey Set For WrestleMania?

She has a broken face, a concussion, and lost her headline match at this weekend’s Survivor Series, but don’t count “The Man” out just yet according to Dave Meltzer.

The broken face is, in fact, a broken nose, which is great news as a broken face (or orbital bone as many in the industry first feared) means months out of action. A nose is just a few weeks (huh “just” a few weeks).

If you’ve seen the video that WWE recently put on their YouTube page about the day Becky told the world that she was unable to compete at Survivor Series, you’ll know just how much that match against Ronda means to her…..

But it could be a blessing in disguise as Dave remarked that the “The Man” against The Rowdy One could now take place at next year’s WrestleMania as either the co or the actual main event itself.

With Charlotte now facing Ronda at Survivor Series and not at Mania as was originally planned, and with Becky being on fire in the few weeks of build-up to their match, Vince wants to put Becky v Ronda on the biggest stage possible.

And in my personal opinion, if it comes to pass, it’s thoroughly deserved!

Indie Up And Comer Suffers Terrible Injury

Indie sensation Marko Stunt wrestled at Joey Janela’s LA Confidential show this past week and suffered a brutally broken shin at the hands of Eli Everfly and a Canadian Destroyer spot. Check the video below to see the spot and injury, but be warned, it’s not for the faint-hearted –

Janela spoke to Stunt after the show and said he’ll be alright but he did indeed break his shin.

Now I know a lot of you don’t know much about Marko, but until this injury in my eyes, he was on for a breakout year next year. After seeing him at the All In event and in MLW (covered here at Pro Wrestling Post by our very own Brandi) I am convinced he is a star in the making. Hopefully, he’ll come back stronger from this.

Good luck Marko!

Two Possible January NXT Signings?

Trevor Lee, a former three-time X Division and TNA Tag Champion recently gave notice to Impact Wrestling. Officially his contract with the company expires on December 31 but as Impact doesn’t have any more TV tapings for the rest of this year, his last matches for the company took place at the tapings earlier this week in Las Vegas.

There have been rumors abound that WWE is interested in Lee and would like to add him to their NXT brand, and with WWE expected to announce new signings in their January intake, could he be on NXT TV in the New Year with former Impact alumni EC3?

Along with Lee, Shane Strickland could also be headed to NXT in the New Year. It was widely reported in the summer that WWE was very high on Shane and would have liked to bring him in then but he decided to honor his commitments.

His time with MLW could be coming to an end as his last scheduled appearance for the company will be at their Miami TV tapings on December 13/14, and his time working for EVOLVE seems to be winding down too after losing the EVOLVE championship to Fabian Aichner (contracted NXT talent) and then losing to Kassius Ohno (another contracted NXT talent) all in the space of a few weeks.

If these rumors are to be believed, then the January NXT intake could be stacked!

Randy Orton: Grammar Nazi

Just something that tickled me here….

Ken Shamrock posted on Twitter that he will be venturing back inside the squared circle once again (no I’m not kidding) when he takes on Gabriel Wolfe at Battle Championship Wrestling on November 30 in Australia.

Up steps the Viper to help out old Ken with some grammar, and in the process made me pop. And Randy has NEVER done that to me before! Bravo Randy!

And that folks, brings an end to another Week In Review. As always it’s been emotional but you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be back….RIGHT HERE….next week for more news from this crazy world of pro wrestling that we love.
