#Preview Beyond Wrestling Presents Americanrana ’19

Beyond Wrestling is coming to Foxwoods in Connecticut for their premier event, Americanrana. The legacy of this event began back in 2013 and has grown ever since. The 2018 edition of Americanrana was highlighted by the No Ropes Barbed Wire match between David Starr and Joey Janela. Starr and Janela will once again clash, this time in an iron man match. Beyond’s reputation for incredible, awe-inspiring wrestling has exploded in the last couple of years and the card lined up for this event is no different. As a special added treat, the first hour of Americanrana will be FREE to view on IndependentWrestling.TV.

John Silver vs. Alex Reynolds

In a match revealed to be one first on the show, will be two of Beyond’s best-known wrestlers. They’re also tag team partners. John Silver and Alex Reynolds of the Beaver Boys will square off against each other. These New England scene regulars have had an iffy time in Beyond as of late, dampening their wins with almost as many losses. John and Alex will put on a wrestling clinic, as they know each other well and work together like a well-oiled machine. There’s honestly no better way to start the biggest event of the year. You can watch this match for FREE during the first hour of Americanrana on IndependentWrestling.TV.

Cheeseburger will be making in appearance at Americanrana! The much-beloved star from Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will bring his heart and tenacity into this ladder match. It will be featuring Feast Championship Wrestling, which Beyond introduced to us with this mini-documentary. Cheeseburger is the only name announced for this match, so it’s anybody’s guess who else is going to show up.

LAX vs. Bear Country

During the groundbreaking weekly show from Beyond, Uncharted Territory, we’ve been able to get to know the team Bear Country very well. The team of Bear Beefcake and Bear Bronson has proved to be very dominant. Beefcake is the more experienced of the two, having started wrestling in 2012. Bronson is a student of Create-A-Pro Wrestling Academy, he began his career in 2015. Up until very recently, they were the Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Champions. LAX is well known across the mainstream and major independent scene. Santana and Ortiz have carved a legacy for themselves, with incredible rivalries with teams like the Lucha Brothers, The OGz, and the Rascalz. And up until recently, they were the reigning IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions. With two pairs of champion stallions set to hook it up, only one can come out on top.

Steel Cage Match
Kris Statlander vs. Kimber Lee

Kris Statlander has been the breakout player for not only Beyond Wrestling, but indepedent wrestling as a whole in 2019. Kimber Lee has been grinding away as well, trying to prove she’s still one of the premier wrestlers. On the first episode of Beyond’s Uncharted Territory, Kimber Lee came up short against MJF. As he always does, he stirred things up. He said that Beyond didn’t need her anymore, because they had Kris Statlander. Later that night, Statlander surprised AR Fox and defeated him. After the match, Fox and his wife Ayla went to confront The Alien, but were stopped by Kimber Lee.

Then everything changed. Kimber attacked Statlander and choked her out. The two would cross paths in the cross-promoted Lethal Lottery event, with Statlander claiming the victory. Kris would also go on to win the IndependentWrestling.TV Independent Championship from Orange Cassidy following this match. The calculating vet Kimber Lee bided her time, and wound up costing Statlander that very title at Beyond’s Secret show a month later. Now the two women will go to war inside a steel cage. The bad blood between the two has reached a fever pitch and at Americanrana, only one woman will walk away with the victory.

Tom Lawlor & Bryan Alvarez vs. Nick Gage & Thomas Santell

In what is possibly the most unique match set for Americanrana, we have some tag team action. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor will team with his Figure Four Weekly podcast partner, Bryan Alvarez. Their opponents are another somewhat mismatched team in the unpredictable and dangerous Nick Gage and the old time grappler Thomas Santell. Alvarez is perhaps best known for his scoops, but he is trained. Alvarez and Lawlor were all smiles and confidence going into this match until they found out that Gage would be Santell’s partner. And with good reason. The violence that Gage and Santell are capable of is a scary proposition for anyone. Lawlor is more than capable as well, a former MMA fighter in addition to his wrestling background. Sports Entertainment Experience put together this video package highlighting what’s in store for Bryan and Tom at Americanrana.

Wheeler YUTA vs. Chuck O’Neil

This is a grudge match and it won’t be pretty. Chuck O’Neil made a surprise appearance at the last episode of Uncharted Territory. He attacked YUTA and left him bloodied and screaming for a fight. Beyond Wrestling has lifted O’Neil’s suspension and agreed to this match. Hopefully, they will finally be able to put their feud to rest.

Rock N Roll Express vs. The Butcher & The Blade

Photo / Beyond Wrestling

Tag team royalty will be on hand at Americanrana. The legendary Hall of Fame team of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson are one of the benchmarks for tag teams. Andy Williams and Pepper Parks, The Butcher and the Blade, part of the Buffalo Boys, are current benchmarks in tag team wrestling. They say rock and roll never dies, and neither has this tag team. A combination of nostalgia and impressive matches for GCW and the revitalized NWA has thrust them back into the spotlight. Ricky and Robert will be making their Beyond Wrestling debut, and if Pepper Parks has his way, it will be their last. Upon news breaking of their debut, Parks posted this on social media:

Josh Briggs vs. Johnny Foxwoods

Photo / Beyond Wrestling

Johnny Foxwoods is a man of many, many names. Nitro, Morrison, Mundo, IMPACT, and now Foxwoods. He will be making his Beyond Wrestling debut against the gatekeeper, Josh Briggs. Briggs is a name almost synonymous with Beyond Wrestling and EVOLVE. A dislocated hip knocked Briggs off a hot trail, and a rushed return put more wrinkles in his course. However, he will not be denied. Briggs has gotten his momentum back and laid out the challenge to the former multi-time champion. If Foxwoods wants to make his name in Beyond, he will have to go through Josh Briggs.

Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Chris Dickinson

Photo / Beyond Wrestling

Back in May, Beyond held the Lethal Lottery and whoever won it would be able to name their opponent for Americanrana. The Dirty Daddy Chris Dickinson was the one left standing at the end of the night. And there was but one opponent he had in mind, Japanese legend Daisuke Sekimoto. Sekimoto is a near twenty-year veteran and well-versed in strong style. His matches are some of the hardest hitting you will see, just like Dickinson. To prepare for this challenge, Dickinson has been pushing himself to the limit with opponents of varying styles and strengths. Psycho Driver ’91 put together this hype video package for one of the most can’t miss matches of the night.

60-Minute Iron Man Match
David Starr vs. Joey Janela

Photo / Beyond Wrestling

The bad blood between these two runs deep, all the way to Americanrana 2018 and beyond. These two waged all out war in a match that involved weapons and lots of blood. As the clock ticks down to the end of Joey Janela on the independent scene, one of his final requests was one more match with David Starr. Well the man of many nicknames had but one request, that it be an Iron Man Match. This type of match is right up Starr’s alley, as one of his nicknames is the 104-Minute Man, referring to an iron man match he had with Dave Crist. Janela has shown time and time again, he doesn’t care what happens to his body in the pursuit of punishing his opponent. While Starr may appear like the All-American boy, he’s got a mean streak inside him too.

IndependentWrestling.TV Independent Championship Match
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. R.D. Evans

Photo / Beyond Wrestling

Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy regained the championship under less than favorable circumstances. Nonetheless, he is back in the saddle, rolling into a town near you with his Jansport backpack in hand and sunglasses on. At Foxwoods, he will defend the title against R.D. Evans. Many fans may not recognize the name, as Evans has spent many of the last several years behind the scenes. He joined the WWE as a writer in 2016 and that’s where he had been hanging his hat until April of 2019. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, Evans found himself unemployed and decided to test the waters of the indie scene again.

As one may guess, doubt can easily creep in. Especially when one has been out of the fray for so long. So what is Evans’ return to active competition could also be his end. If he is unable to defeat Orange Cassidy at Americanrana…then he will quit once and for all.

Now if that isn’t all that and a bag of chips, eh? There’s only one place to catch Americanrana, and that’s on IndependentWrestling.TV. The first hour of the show will be free to all, subscribers or not. You can get a free 20 day trial of IndepedentWrestling.TV with the promo code UNCHARTED.
