The Heritage Continues | Coming Up NXT UK 11/5/20 | Preview

The dust has settled. The war was waged. And in the end, only one man stands tall as the NXT UK Champion. Last week’s show may have been filled with many other storylines surrounding the illustrious superstars who call BT Sport Studios home. Still, the match of the year between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov stole the brand and will leave an impression for years to come. A true mark of violence, expertise of mat wrestling, aerial assault, and big show of heart from both competitors, this match will take a piece of these men for the rest of their NXT UK careers as the Heritage Cup Continues.

The Rampage Cometh

Not to be lost in the historic, 5-star level clash between Dragunov and WALTER is the announcement that Rampage Brown has signed with NXT UK and will be landing to the brand soon.

If you have not seen Rampage before, you are in for a treat. Already secured with one of the most epic entrance themes in wrestling, the British heavyweight comes to the brand as one of the most decorated superstars to debut in NXT UK as he is a former ICW Tag Team Champion, former World Of Sport Champion, and former PROGRESS Champion.

While we have not received word when Rampage will debut, this news is sure to shake the landscape of the brand as it adds another immediate high-impact superstar to likely compete for the NXT UK Championship.

A Country Clash

For weeks we’ve speculated a possible team-up with Pretty Deadly and Eddie Dennis, but last week that came to ahead with Dennis revealing to be the ringmaster to The Hunt. With that behind them, Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker look to the future and a shot at the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

But a shot at the titles means going through the champs, Wolfgang and Mark Coffey. Gallus, one of the most dominant tag team champions in WWE, have been operating without the ‘Iron King’ Joe Coffey for weeks since the NXT UK restart until now as it was announced his return is imminent.

And while Pretty Deadly may be concerned with Joe Coffey’s involvement, it seems Sam Gradwell just wants to fight, which leads to this week’s clash of the countries! This week on NXT UK, the Scottish stable of Gallus with the returning Joe Coffey face off against England’s trio of Howley, Stoker, and Gradwell in which is sure to be a hard-hitting showdown between all 6 men. Can Gallus reaffirm their dominance over NXT UK? Or will the Brits come together as the new force on the brand?

Second Round Feature

And while the NXT UK roster awaits Rampage Brown’s arrival, the brand continues its focus on the NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament as the second round begins with Noam Dar and A-Kid.

For A-Kid, he’s coming in hot with a big upset in over Flash Morgan Webster. With his stock higher than it’s been in his short 1-year tenure on the brand, the Tyler Bate co-signed superstar looks to score another big upset win. But he’ll be facing one of the most clever and crafty superstars in WWE in Noam Dar. For Dar, it’s continuing his momentum after a shocking but impressive victory over Imperium’s Alexander Wolfe. Pete Dunne aside, Noam proved this is his tournament to win with much-needed aggression and focus.

In our surefire main event, these two men clash with the finals in their sights. Can A-Kid continue his Cinderella-like run in this tournament on his way to the finals? Or will Noam Dar find another way to deliver and fulfill his promise to win the NXT UK Heritage Cup?

All this and more, including more on the aftermath of the NXT UK Championship match and finding out what woman will eventually become the next challenger to NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray! Another hard-hitting edition of NXT UK worth to watch as this week’s show returns to it’s normal start time on the WWE Network Thursday at 8 PM BST (3 PM EST)
