On January 18th, 1991, the WWF presented Royal Rumble 1991 from the Miami Arena in Miami, Florida. The event had the tagline ‘Friend vs Friend, Foe vs Foe It’s Every Man for Himself!’
The event begins with an image of the American flag waving and is then followed by Howard Finkle saying that it is time for the national anthem.
We then hear from Vince McMahon sharing those involved such as The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Mr. Perfect, Earthquake, the British Bulldog, Paul Roma, Jake Roberts, Texas Tornado and more…We then hear that it will be The Ultimate Warrior against Sgt Slaughter.
Gorilla Monsoon is on commentary with ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper on colour commentary. They shared how proud they are of the U.S troops and what they are doing for their country.

The Orient Express (Kato and Tanaka) with Mr. Fuji vs. The Rockers
Mr. Fuji leads his Orient Express down to the ring first, followed by the Rockers. Janetty is knocked off the top rope to the floor and Kato and Tanaka take the fight to Shawn Michaels. The Rockers then recover and put the focus on Tanaka.
Then Michaels and Janetty hit a tope suicida onto their opposition on the floor. Fans are chanting USA. Once things settle down it is Jannetty and Kato locking up in the ring. Jannetty wears down Kato with a side headlock. Kato recovers but then Jannetty stops the advantage on his opponent.
Jannetty avoid Kato and he takes out his own partner in Tanaka. This leads to Jannetty getting an arm drag and then making a tag to Shawn Michaels. Michaels comes off the top rope with a double axe handle on the arm and then follows up with an armbar takeover.
After Tanaka avoids Michaels initially he hits him with a flying elbow. This leads to a rear chinlock on Michaels. The fans begin to get behind Michaels.
Then Kato is tagged in and Michaels then drives both partners heads together. Michaels then locks in a rear chinlock once again on Tanaka.
Michaels then locks in a sleeper on Tanaka. But with the referee distracted Kato came off the top rope onto the back of Michaels breaking the hold. Tanaka hits a leg sweep on Michaels and follows up with a chop across the top of the head of Shawn Michaels.
Tanaka is then backed into the corner, and Michaels drives fist after fist on Tanaka. He then hits a moonsault on Kato.
But Jannetty comes inot the ring and both members of the Orient. Express gets hit with crossbody drops off the top rope to the floor.
Michaels then pins Kato, but he kicks out. Jannetty is then tagged into the match. He then locks in a rear chinlock. Michaels is tagged into the match and hits a suplex on Kato.
He follows up with a pinfall attempt, but he kicks out. As he attempts a monkey flip, Tanaka grabed him and draped him throat first across the top rope.
Tanaka came back in and continued to beat down on Michaels once again. Kato is then tagged in and while holding Michaels Tanaka leaps onto the back of Michaels forcing his throat across the top rope.
Tanaka then maintains a hold on the trapezius of Michaels. Fans are trying to cheer him on. Tanaka goes for a pinfall, but Michaels kicks out at two.
Kato is then tagged in and he continues to work over Michaels and Tanaka helps work him over. Another pinfall attempt on Michaels leads to a kickout. Tanaka lowers his head and Michaels drives his head into the mat.
He follows up with a pinfall attempt but Kato kicks out and then Tanaka reverses it. Jannetty tries a backslide, but Tanaka hits a kick to reverse it. Michaels tripes up Kato and then the duo hit dual superkicks.
Jannetty attempted the Rocker-launcher but Tanaka kicked them forcing him off the top rope and regain the advantage on Jannetty.
But Michaels comes in and helps reverse an attempt on Jannetty that leads to a sunset flip onto Tanaka. This lead to a pinfall and the win.
Winners: The Rockers.
After the match, Sean Mooney is speaking with the ‘Macho King’ Randy Savage. Savage said that he’s the number one contender for the WWF title and it doesn’t matter who the champion is after the match.
He said that Slaughter gave him his word that if he wins that he will make Savage the number one contender. But then says that Sensational Queen Sherri is on her wait to bait the current champion, the Ultimate Warrior.
Sherri is seen on the monitor with Mean Gene Okerland to make a public challenge to the Ultimate Warrior. She reiterates that Slaughter will grant him a championship match.
But she said that Slaughter is honorable and will keep his word and come through his promise. She only hopes that the Ultimate Warrior is as honorable as he says he is.
She said that if the Ultimate Warrior is as honorable as he says he is then to come out and accept his challenge. Sherri doesn’t think he’s brave, that he’s a coward and yellow! She also thinks that he isn’t honorable.
This leads to the Ultimate Warrior to come out. This brings out the Ultimate Warrior face-to-face with Sensational Queen Sherri. She then reitierates what she said before now saying it to his face.
Warrior doesn’t answer and then attempts to seduce him. She tries to be coy and offers compliments to try and get him to answer. Sherrie then kisses the Ultimate Warrior, who then smiles.
She then goes down on her knees and looks up at him. Then the Ultimate Warrior spits and screams NOOO to the face of Sherrir. This leads to Savage going ballistic and going after the Ultimate Warrior. Sherri doesn’t understand, and neither does the Macho King.

The Barbarian with Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan vs. The Big Bossman
With the Barbarian in the ring, the Bossman comes to the ring and clears the ring in the process. The bell rings and Heenan and the Barbarian are waiting for the Big Bossman to back off.
The Barbarian is easing his way back up on the apron and then enters the ring. Fans begin to chant weasel with Heenan in the corner.
The two lock up with the Barbarian getting the early advantage. He begins to throw fists but gets caught with a big boot! The Bossman forces the Barbarian from the ring.
Bossman comes out of the ring and goes right after the Barbarian. The Barbarian then ends up shoulder first into the steel post on the outside of the ring. But as the Bossman tries to suplex the Bossman in the ring he rakes his eyes.
Then as the Barbarian attempts a double ax handle the Bossman stops him and clothes lines him out of the ring. Barbarian and Heenan once again try to reconvene outside. Eventually the Barbarian makes his way back into the ring and then hits a suplex on the Bossman.
The Barbarian eventually frees the Bossman from the ropes and it forces him to the floor. He then picks up the Bossman and slams him back first into the steel ring post. The Barbarian makes his way back in the ring with the Bossman trying to recover on the floor.
With the referee distracted, the Brain makes his way over and kicks the Bossman in the ribs. The Bossman makes his way back to his feet and then eventually back into the ring.
The Barbarian then picks him up and hits a backbreaker on the Bossman. He follows that up with a pinfall attempt but only gets a count of two.
The Barbarian then locks in a bearhug on the Bossman. The Big Bossman tries to fight off the Barbarian’s grip and eventually does. He breaks free of the grip but gets caught with a right hand that knocks him down. The Barbarian then goes for a pinfall attempt but kicks out at two.
He then once again locks in a bearhug on the Bossman. He continues to squeeze on the Bossman. This time however it looks like the Bossman won’t allow it to wear him down. But the Bossman tries to fight his way out eventually leading to him biting the Barbarian in the process.
The Bossman then hits an enziguri kick on the Barbarian, knocking both men down. The Bossman tries to make the pin, but the Barbarin kicks out at two. Eventually, the Bossman kicks the corner turnbuckle and the Barbarian goes for the pinfall but the Bossman kicks out at two.
Bossman catches the Barbarian and drapes him throat first across the top rope. But then they both collide after a pinning attempt by the Bib Bossman.
Both men make their way back to their feet, but the Barbarian climbs the top rope and hits a top rope clothesline. He then goes for a pinning attempt, but the Bossman gets his foot on the bottom rope.
The Bossman then whips the Barbarian against the ropes and catches him with a side slam. He then signals that this is the end but after taking too much time he goes back to cover him.
But the Barbarian gets his fingertips on the bottom rope. Once both were up, the Barbarian then sets up the Bossman in hopes of delivering a piledriver.
He hits the Bossman with it, and Bossman clutches his head and neck. The Barbarian once again climbs to the top rope and hits a crossbody on the Bossman, but the Bossman rolls through and ends up pinning the Barbarian in the process. He gets the three count and the win.
Winner: The Big Bossman
After the match, the Brain heads back to the dressing room area without the Barbarian. The Bossman climbs the second rope and then takes in the adulation of those in attendance. We then see the replay of how the match result came about.
After the match, Sean Mooney is backstage with the challenger for the WWF Championship Sgt Slaughter and General Adnan.
Slaughter then addresses the ‘pukes’ and then he says to wait until he faces the Ultimate Puke and becomes the new WWF Heavyweight Champion that there will be real turmoil. He says that he will be the new leader that the people need and respect.
He says that the Ultimate Warrior’s days and weeks and hours aren’t numbered but his SECONDS are numbered. We then see Mean Gene Okerland backstage with the Ultimate Warrior.
He says that he only takes orders from the Warriors and not by Sgt. Slaughter. The Warrior says that his Warriors would not and could not look up to someone like Sgt. Slaughter as their leader.

WWF Heavyweight Championship
Sgt. Slaughter with General Adnan vs. The Ultimate Warrior ©
Sgt. Slaughter and General Adnan make their way to the ring first. In the process they will discuss those fighting for the U.S in the middle east.
We then see the Ultimate Warrior running down the aisle and charges the ring and takes out General Adnan and Sgt. Slaughter.
Warrior then proceeds to rip the flag and takes the fight to the challenger as General Adnan makes his way back to the dressing room area.
The Warrior then proceeds to shove the flag into the mouth of Sgt. Slaughter. He then uses it to choke Sgt—slaughter in the process.
The Ultimate Warrior then decides to whip Slaughter into the corner turnbuckle and then over the opposing corner turnbuckle and to the floor.
The Warrior then makes his way out after Slaughter and continues to choke him with the flag. It was at this point when we see Sensational Queen Sherri running down at ringside.
Warrior rolls Slaughter back into the ring and then hits a series of shoulder tackles on Slaughter. The Warrior then chases down Sherri and gets blindsided by Randy Savage.
The referee doesn’t see any of this taking place. Slaughter is stopping the count so Warrior can get back into the ring and win the title this way.
Slaughter stops the count out again, allowing the Warrior to get back into the ring. Sarge then goes out and rolls. The Warrior back into the ring.
He then lays in the boots of the champion. Slaughter continues to beat down on the champion. He picks him up and then hits him with a backbreaker.
Slaughter then spits at the champion and then drives the champion’s head into his pointed boot. The Warrior avoids Slaughter’s clothesline and then the two men hit a double clothesline on one another.
Both men struggle to get to their feet. Slaughter sneaks up behind the Warrior and locks in a bearhug on the champion. Slaughter continues to squeeze in the bear hug, wearing out the champion.
The Warrior appears all but out of it, locked in this bearhug. But we see the Warrior trying to fight it and soak in the adulation of the fans. He then picks up the challenger and slams him.
But the champion clutches his back after slamming the champion and then drops in an elbow drop on the back of the champion. Monsoon and Piper are suggesting that the reason the Warrior’s being worn out with the focus of Slaughter locking in the camel clutch.
The Warrior tries to make his way back with Slaughter taking in all the amuition of Slaughter. He then hits a flying shoulder tackle on the challenger.
But then Sherri comes back down to the ring and the champion is distracted by Sherri. He pulls her into the match and then is hoisted up and tossed onto Randy Savage who is now outside of the ring.
Slaughter attacks Savage from behind, leaving him prone on the middle rope. At this point, Savage cracks the royal scepter over the head of the champion with the referee distracted.
Savage and Sherri head back to the dressing room area. At this point, the challenger pulls the champion off the middle rope and makes the pinfall for the three count and the win.
Winner: AND NEW WWF World Heavyweight Champion, Sgt. Slaughter.
After the bell, the Ultimate Warrior is struggling and running back to the dressing room area. This leaves the official decision is that Sgt Slaughter is the new champion. Both Monsoon and Piper are irate with what just happened.
We then see a promo for WrestleMania VII in California th,e WWF’s upcoming event at the time.

‘The Birdman’ Koko B. Ware vs. The Mountie with Jimmy ‘The Mouth of South’ Hart
We hear Koko B. Ware’s music but he’s in the ring awaiting his opposition, The Mountie with the Mouth of the South.
The bell rings and Koko is trying to get the fans behind him. The two lock up up against the ropes. The Mountie tries to hit him with a right hand but that’s temporary.
The Mountie then gets the advantage on Koko but that’s temporary. Eventually, the Mountie makes him back in the ring and lock up with Koko once again. Koko gains control and continues his fight with the Mountie.
An armdrag take over and arm bar is what followed by Koko on The Mountie. The Mountie tries to mount an advantage, and back body drops Koko over the top rope to the floor.
The Mountie then prevents Koko from getting back in the ring. Koko is then hit with a cattle prod while the referee is distracted.
The Mountie clearly has the advantage over Koko with a leaping back elbow on Koko. Koko then hits a sunset flip and makes a pinfall attempt, but only for a count of two.
Jimmy Hart then gets in Frankie’s face. As. Koko was trying to make his way back in the ring, The Mountie chokes him across the top rope.
As he attempts to piledrive Koko, Koko hits a back bodydrop on the Mountie. Koko then recovers and hits a neckbreaker on The Mountie.
He then hits a flying headbutt on The Mountie and then climbs to the top rope. He is hit with a flying dropkick. He hits a crossbody on the Mountie but then gets caught with a chokeslam off the rope, leading to a pinfall and a three count.
Winner: The Mountie
After the match, Randy Savage is then interviewed backstage with Sean Mooney. We then hear the Ultimate Warrior banging on the door in pursuit of the Macho King. Piper and Monsoon discuss what was happening earlier in the night between Sgt Slaughter and the Ultimate Warrior.
Backstage we hear from Mean Gene Okerland speaking with General Adnan and the new WWF Heavyweight Champion, Sgt Slaughter.
They boast how they kept the promise what they planned to do to the Ultimate Warrior and that they have In store for the WWF moving forward.
Back to Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter discuss what they just heard from the WWF Heavyweight Champion with Mean Gene Okerland.
We then hear from fans wishing those taking part in Desert Storm wishing them all return soon and safely. Gorilla Monsoon then shares how Hulk Hogan will taking part in a tour to show their support for the troops.
We then hear from the participants in the upcoming Royal Rumble. Jake Roberts, Earthquake, Greg Valentine, Texas Tornado, Legion of Doom, The Undertaker, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Rick Martel, The British Bulldog, Mr. Perfect, and Tugboat all shared their thoughts on the Rumble.
We then hear from Sean Mooney speaking with Ted DiBiase and Virgil. Virgil hears the words of DiBiase but it appears that his belief that being bound by money is stronger than being bound by blood.

‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase and Virgil vs. ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes and ‘The Natural’ Dustin Rhodes
The Rhodes make their way to the ring first followed by Virgil and Ted DiBiase. But with the Rhodes backs turned they get jumped by DiBiase and Virgil. But the Rhodes recovered and clear the ring of DiBiase and Virgil.
DiBiase instructs Virgil to get in there and take out Dustin Rhodes. Virgil lays in a hard right hand, but Dustin recovers with a dropkick on Virgil. We then see DiBiase slap Virgil to get back in there and get him!
Virgil whips Dustin into the ropes but Dustin counters the offense and clears the ring of Virgil. DiBiase continues to give Virgil another earful. He says that he’s being embarrassed and then tags in. This leads to DiBiase and Dustin Rhodes to lockup.
DiBiase hits a short clothesline on Dustin Rhodes and beats on the younger Rhodes. The Million Dollar Man then taunts
Dusty while beating on the wounded Dustin Rhodes. But Dustin comes back and both Dustin and Dusty hit bionic elbows.
Dusty makes his way into the ring, and he takes the fight to DiBiase. Dusty tries to lock in a sleeper but Virgil came in and broke up the sleeper attempt.
Dustin is tagged in and he hits a dropkick on DiBiase. After a pinning attempt, Virgil comes in and breaks up the pin attempt.
Virgil is tagged in and he begins to take the fight to Dustin. Dustin then has his leg kicked out from under him by Virgil. Virgil then hits a clothesline on Dustin. He follows up by laying in boots on the younger Rhodes.
Dusty is distracted in the opposite corner. We then get Ted DiBiase continues to work over the left leg of the younger Rhodes.
Virgil is tagged in and he misses Dustin and clotheslines DiBiase instead. He apologizes and begins to walk away but then gets punched and chopped by the Million Dollar Man.
Virgil is tossed out of the ring but that leads to Dustin to make the tag to Dusty. The Dream tries to take the fight to DiBiase. He misses him and crazhes chest first into the corner turnbuckle. DiBiase then rolls him up from behind, makes the pinfall and gets the win.
Winners: ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase and Virgil.
After the match, DiBiase is calling for a microphone. He then says that no one crosses the Million Dollar Man. He then addresses Virgil and tells him to get the Million Dollar belt and to put it around his waist.
Virgil looks up at the Million Dollar Man and begrudgingly gets the Million Dollar Man and is told to get in the ring and wrap it around the waist of Ted DiBiase. He then throws down the title!
He reminds him about what he has too do because what will happen to him and how he needs the job for his mother. But after taking a knee he gets up and drills DiBiase with the Million Dollar title.
The pop he got from the crowd in attendance was clear as he left the ring with DiBiase left lying on the mat.
In the backstage area, Mean Gene Okerland speaks with Hulk Hogan. Hogan shares how what he is doing and who he is dedicating this win to the troops. Okerland says that Slaughter has defaced the American flag.
Hogan said that Slaughter’s days as champion are all but numbered.

The first entrant in the Rumble is Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart and the second entrant is Dino Bravo with Jimmy Hart. The bell rings, and the two first entrants begin the match.
Hart clotheslines him and tries to eliminate him, but to no avail. Monsoon and Piper share their opinion on the likeliness of either of these two winning the match.
The time then goes off and the third competitor comes out and its Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine. Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine are going after one another and Jimmy Hart is screaming at Valentine which leads to Bravo attacking him from behind.
Valentine begins to drive Bravo’s head into the top turnbuckle and then proceeds to throw him over the top rope to the floor.
Dino Bravo has been eliminated.
Jimmy Hart then gets on the apron and begins to yell at Valentine. Valentine then knocks Hart off the apron. This leads to Bret Hart then proceeding to work over Valentine and trying to throw him out. Next out is Paul Roma with Slick. Roma and Valentine work over the Hitman.
Roma then turns on Valentine and begins to work over Valentine. Hitman then drives both of their heads together. Both Roma and Valentine try to throw the Hitman out, but he fights off their attempt.
Roma and Valentine then go at one another once again. Hitman then gives a headbutt to the lower back of Valentine.
Then the Texas Tornado comes charging down to the ring. TT then drills Valentine with a wicked right and proceeds to try and throw him over the top rope.
TT and Valentine work on trying to eliminate Paul Roma, but that’s momentarily. Roma then drills TT with a dropkick. The countdown is happening, and the next out is the Model Rick Martel.
Martel goes right after Bret Hart. Martel and Roma then work over Hart, but that’s until Martel and Roma go after one another.
TT then drives Valentine. We then see Hart trying to eliminate Martel, but Paul Roma blocks that attempt. Saba Simba then makes his way to the ring, and he joins the fray as now we have six men in there and each person is partnered off.
TT attempts to toss Rick Martel over the top, but that’s short-lived. TT tries to hid a discus punch but Paul Roma avoids it. He then slaps on the claw on Paul Roma in the corner.
Then Bushwhacker Butch makes his way out to the ring. Then as the Model tries to toss out Saba Simba its Saba Simba that falls out.
Saba Simba is eliminated.
Paul Roma and being forced out by the Texas Tornado and Rick Martel. Jake Roberts comes down to the ring and he’s heading right for Rick Martel.
The two are battling each other. Roberts signals for the DDT but he slides out from the ring and Roberts pursues him on the floor.
Then both go back in the ring and Greg Valentine cuts him off and begins to work on Jake Roberts. Martel refuses to get back in the ring and the Model is on the ring apron.
He then drills Roberts and climbs back in. Hercules makes his way to the ring and helps out his partner Paul Roma.
TT comes over and helps Jake Roberts as the two work over Paul Roma. Roberts tries to help Roberts eliminate the Model, but that’s short-lived.
Roberts is tied in the ropes, but the Texas Tornado won’t allow him to beat on Jake Roberts who can’t defend himself.
The next person out is Tito Santana making his way to the ring and going right after the Model Rick Martel. With the focus on Martel and Santana we have another elimination.
Paul Roma is eliminated.
Santana is trying to toss out Martel, and the Texas Tornado is trying to throw out Butch and Jake Roberts. Hercules and Bret Hart battle by one corner.
We then see Valentine trying to throw over Santana and Martel. But we hear the next person come out, and it’s the Undertaker with Brother Love. The Undertaker then picks up Bret Hart and throws him out with ease.
Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart is eliminated.
The Undertaker then gets double-teamed by the Texas Tornado and Greg Valentine. But Taker fights them both off and continues to battle the Texas Tornado against the top rope.
Jake Roberts comes up and tries to help the Texas Tornado and he takes the Undertaker’s best shot and knocked down. Next out is Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka making his way to the ring.
The Undertaker then tosses out Bushwhacker Butch.
Bushwhacker Butch is eliminated.
Texas Tornado tries to take out The Undertaker, but he takes his best shots and doesn’t react to them. The Undertaker then comes over and goes at Greg Valentine. Tito Santa tries to take it to the Undertaker.
He then hits a reverse knife edge chop, and The Undertaker easily fights it off. The British Bulldog is out next. Santana and the Texas Tornado work over The Undertaker in the corner.
Hercules and the Texas Tornado battle in one corner. We then see Greg Valentine come over to the Undertaker and fights him off of Tito Santana. The British Bulldog and the Model battle in a corner.
The next person out is Smash of Demolition. Roberts and Martel battle in one corner but avoid a DDT. With Roberts back to the ropes, Martel pulls him over unsuspectingly and eliminates him.
Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts is eliminated.
Roberts is irate but Snuka takes Martel’s head and Hercules’ head and drives them together. Texas Toronado and Smash battle in another corner as the next participant comes out.
It was Hawk of the Legion of Doom making his way to the ring. He’s going after everyone. Everyone beats down on Hawk in particular the Undertaker and Hercules. But Hawk recovers and battling Hercules.
Santana is up on the second rope beating on the Undertaker. The Undertaker holds Hercules as Greg Valentine lays the fists in on him. The next participant comes out to the ring and its Shane Douglas.
Douglas goes after Smash, attacking him. In a blink of an eye, there are two eliminations.
Texas Tornado is eliminated
Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka is eliminated.
Smash and Hercules battle in one corner. But then Santana tries to eliminate the Model. Smash stops the attempt to eliminate Martel. Hawk hits Hercules with a clothesline. We then find out our next participant doesn’t come out….
Back in the ring, the Undertaker works over Hawk. The British Bulldog stops the Undertaker and Hawk comes over to help him . Shane Douglas and Rick Martel battle in one corner.
The Undertaker is eliminated.
And as Hawk was celebrating that Rick Martel tossed out Hawk.
Legion of Doom’s Hawk is eliminated.
Tito Santana is desperately trying to eliminate Rick Martel. The British Bulldog goes after Smash and works him over. The next participant in this match is Crush of Demolition. Crush and Smash work over the British Bulldog.
Valentine momentarily tries to help Tito Santana to eliminate Rick Martel but he won’t go out. Shane Douglas and Greg Valentine work together to take out the Model.
The countdown begins once again and out comes Hacksaw Jim Duggan with 2×4 in hand momentarily. But he charges down to the ring and goes right at Smash.
Duggan then goes right after Rick Martel. He then gets help from the British Bulldog to eliminate him. But Animal hoists up Martel but that is broken down. Shane Duglas works over Hercules and Animal, and Tito Santana beats on Crush momentarily.
We then see the next countdown and its Earthquake with Jimmy Hart making their way down to the ring.
With Shane Douglas on the apron, we see Valentine beat on him. Earthquake and Animal battle one another. As Animal attempts to clothesline Earthquake out of the ring, Earthquake ducts and tosses Animal out.
Legion of Doom’s Animal is eliminated.
Earthquake and Duggan battle each other in the corner. Duggan and Earthquake choke each other. The Britsh Bulldog attempts to toss out the Model but Smash stops that attempt. Then Greg Valentine and Earthquake work over Shane Douglas.
We then get the next countdown, and it brings out Mr. Perfect accompanied by Bobby Heenan. The two pace themselves coming to the ring. Duggan and Perfect immediately go at it. Just as Duggan attempts to clothesline Perfect, Mr. Perfect ducts and tosses Jim Duggan out of the ring.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan is eliminated.
Mr. Perfect and Tito Santana battle one another in the ring. We then see Shane Douglas being tossed out by Rick Martel but that’s momentary as the next entrant comes out and its Hulk Hogan.
As Hogan comes in, Mr. Perfect and Smash go at the Hulkster. Hogan then takes Smash and tosses him over the top rope.
Demolition’s Smash is eliminated.
Hogan then has his sights set on Earthquake and the two battle in the corner. But Perfect comes over and stops the battle momentarily. Earthquake takes the fight to Hogan back in the corner, and he attempts to toss Hogan out.
Now Hercules comes over and he helps Earthquake to try and toss out Hogan. But the clock counts down and Haku comes into the ring. As he enters we see Hogan toss out Greg Valentine.
Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine is eliminated.
Martel and Hogan battle in the corner. We then see The Model rip Hogan’s shirt and wraps it around his neck. Bug Hogan picks him up and stops it. The Model stands on the middle rope and hits a double ax handle on the back of Haku in the middle of the ring.
Everyone is trying their best to pry someone over the tope rope. But out comes Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart.
Neidhart goes right after Hercules. Earthquake then gives Santana a headbutt and tosses him from the ring.
Tito Santana is eliminated.
Shane Douglas has Martel hanging over the top rope, but that is stopped. Haku and Hogan battle one another in the middle of the ring.
Hogan tries to throw him over the top rope, but that’s stopped. Hercules, Earthquake and Haku all work together to try and eliminate Hogan.
Bushwhacker Luke then makes his way out. Luke comes in and is tossed out the other side of the ring by Earthquake.
Bushwhacker Luke is eliminated.
Mr. Perfect and Shane Douglas battle in the corner. We then see Earthquake and Perfect work together to try and eliminated Hogan. Neidhart and the Bulldog work over Rick Martel.
We then get another countdown and out next come Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs comes out. Knobbs is going after everyone and we then see he is piled up on by everyone. Crush works over Perfect momentarily, and we then see Hercules and Jim Neidhart work over Knobbs.
Perfect and Hogan battle in the corner. But then we see Brian Knobbs toss out Hercules.
Hercules is eliminated.
There is then a countdown and out next is the Warlord. He comes out and right after Davey Boy Smith. Crush works over Hogan in the corner, but he gets tossed out.
Demolition’s Crush is eliminated.
Hogan then clotheslined the Warlord over the top rope to the floor.
Warlord is eliminated.
The final entrant makes their way out to the ring, and it turns out to be Tugboat. Earthquake and Tugboat battle in the corner. We then see Shane Douglas tossed out by Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs.
Shane Douglas is eliminated.
The remaining nine men continue to battle, trying to win this match. Bulldog and Tugboat try to eliminate Martel who fights back and then has Haku help him out in the process. Tugboat then almost tosses Hogan out but then walks away. That was a mistake, as Hogan came from behind and tossed Tugboat out.
Tugboat is eliminated.
Then after sitting on the top turnbuckle the British Bulldog dropkicks Mr. Perfect causing him to be eliminated.
Mr. Perfect is eliminated.
An arrant attack on Rick Martel leads to a missed opportunity and an elimination of Jim Neidhart.
Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart has been eliminated.
We then see Haku attempt to clothesline the British Bulldog only to miss and get eliminated himself.
Haku is eliminated.
It is now down to the final five men in the match. The British Bulldog, Rick Martel, Hulk Hogan, Earthquake and Brian Knobbs. Martel continues to try and eliminate Hogan but that stops. Knobbs and Earthquake work together to beat down on Hulk Hogan.
The Martel then climbs to the top rope but the British Bulldog shakes rope causing him to fall and then get clotheslined off the top rope forcing an elimination.
Rick ‘The Model’ Martel is eliminated.
The British Bulldog comes charging at Earthquake and Brian Knobbs only to ultimately get double teamed and eliminated.
The British Bulldog is eliminated.
Brian Knobbs, Earthquake and Hulk Hogan remain in the match. Hogan gets double clotheslined. Earthquake hits a splash that’s assisted by Brian Knobbs. Earthquake then hits his sitdown splash, but Hogan gets right back up.
Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs is eliminated.
It is now down to Hulk Hogan and Earthquake. Hogan hits the big boot and then a series of right hands on Earthquake who gets back up.
He attempts to slam him but falls back down. A pair of elbows on Hogan by Earthquake and then a slam on Hogan all but wipes him out.
But Hogan forces himself up and takes Earthquake’s clubbing blows. He then points at him and proceeds to hit him with boots. He then signals to want to pick him up and slam him.
Hogan then signals that he will knock him out and hits him with a clothesline from behind,, taking him out of the match for the final eliminationelimination.
Earthquake is eliminated.
Winner: HULK HOGAN
At a running time of three hours, six minutes, and fifty-one seconds, the 1991 Royal Rumble drew to a close. It signaled that the new WWF Champion, Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan are on a collision course to face one another.
