ECW, WWE, TNA…now add AEW to Taz’s list of employers.

Taz was once again a guest announcer at last night’s AEW Dark taping at the Watsco Center in Miami. And as soon as he had finished announcing, he went backstage and signed on the dotted line with All Elite Wrestling as the tweet below shows –

    https://twitter.com/AEWrestling/status/1217838923050881027

In the video, Taz is seen signing his multi-year contract with Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes and the company’s Vice President of Business Strategy Chris Harrington.

It’s just a few weeks removed from Taz leaving his radio talk show on CBS Radio, Taz and the Moose, and the finish of his podcast The Taz Show. He spoke on his podcast that he would be telling the world what his next move would be in the near future. And what a move!

    Blake’s Take

This isn’t that much of a shock. Taz has been working with AEW on and off for nearly a year now. He has been booked on a few StarrCast’s that coincide with AEW big weekends. You can bet that’s when talks began. In my eyes, his hiring could mean the end of Jim Ross.
He hasn’t been firing on all cylinders since he took over as lead announcer on AEW Dynamite. Forgetting the performer’s names and moves. Even going as far as criticizing certain AEW storylines. I could be wrong, but I’m calling it now. Within six months, it will be Excalibur and Taz as the main guys on Dynamite commentary.
