Brace For IMPACT for 10/21/21 (Bound For Glory Go-Home Show)

It’s another big week on IMPACT Wrestling, as this Saturday night is Bound for Glory in the latest edition of Brace for IMPACT for 10/21/21. The biggest event of the IMPACT Wrestling calendar, Bound for Glory, promises the coronation of two new champions. But along with the vacant X-Division Championship and the newly created Digital Media Championship, we have Havok & Rosemary defending the Knockouts Tag Team Title against some iconic adversaries; Mickie James seeks to end Deonna Purrazzo’s reign as Knockouts Champion and the greatest X-Division Champion of all time challenges for the IMPACT World Championship.

But there’s still room on the card, and everyone will be fighting for a spot this Thursday night. This is Brace For IMPACT, where we break down the card for Thursday’s show on AXS TV.

Alex Zayne vs. Trey Miguel

After meeting in the opening match of the Triple Threat X-Division Championship tournament, Alex Zayne wants another shot at Trey Miguel. Who could blame him? Zayne is someone who’s bound for great things in IMPACT Wrestling, and he’s not about to let a first-round loss define his time in Nashville. So, in an attempt to bounce back, Alex Zayne will face Trey Miguel one-on-one this Thursday night.

This match promises to be an exciting affair, with both men practicing a fast-paced, high-flying style. However, Trey Miguel is competing for the X-Division Championship on Saturday night. Considering how Trey has failed in every championship opportunity he’s had in IMPACT Wrestling, will he be focused enough to defeat Zayne on Thursday night?

Pick Your Poison Match
Mickie James vs. Savannah Evans

At Knockouts Knockdown, Mickie James challenged Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to defeat an opponent of her choosing. Purrazzo answered valiantly, defeating James’ chosen opponent, Masha Slamovich. Following the match, The Virtuosa issued a similar challenge to James. However, the reigning Knockouts Champion has yet to pick an opponent.

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Savannah Evans dominated Lady Frost with tag team partner Tasha Steelz cheering on at ringside. Following the match, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo made her way to the ring alongside Matthew Rehwoldt. With The Drama King by her side, The Virtuosa announced that Mickie James will be facing the dominant Savannah Evans.

James is no stranger to facing stronger, more aggressive opponents, but Savannah Evans’ job on Thursday night isn’t to win. Instead, The Virtuosa wants Evans to brutalize Mickie James before their match for the Knockouts Championship this Saturday night. Will The Virtuosa’s plan work, or will Mickie James put the rookie Savannah Evans in her place?

FinJuice vs. Bullet Club (Chris Bey & Hikuleo)
– #1 Contender’s Match

When David Finlay and Juice Robinson returned from New Japan to reclaim the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships, they didn’t expect to meet The Bullet Club. However, in the time they were away, “Switchblade,” Jay White selected a new overseas representative for his villainous stable. Initially, Chris Bey had to face Finlay and Robinson on his own, but when it seemed that was a losing prospect, Jay White sent the big gun, Hikuleo.

With Hikuleo in the mix, along with El Phantasmo, it seems like Bullet Club is aiming for a takeover of IMPACT Wrestling. Thursday night, FinJuice will be facing Chris Bey and Hikuleo for a shot at IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers this Saturday. Finlay and Robinson are likely chomping at the bit to defeat The Good Brothers for the tag team titles like they did at Sacrifice.

However, Bullet Club also have some tensions to work out with The Good Brothers. Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were Bullet Club originals, after all. Find out who’s going to Bound For Glory this Thursday night on IMPACT Wrestling in this week’s edition of Brace for IMPACT for 10/21/21.

What Else To Expect
