A Spicy Redemption

While William Regal has his hands full with NXT overall, the spicy Xia Li has been keeping herself full of resentment since suffering a few losses on the show. Last week, she respectfully asked the GM for a chance at redemption with a match on this week’s show. While Regal never gave an answer on Xia’s request for a match, we are sure it will be granted for this week’s edition of NXT.

This is a different Xia since fellow countrymen Boa showed up two weeks ago with documentation and a look of disappointment. Will the opportunity to prove herself change the fate of the superstar? Or will Xia Li continue on one of her longest losing streaks in her NXT career? And how will Boa play a factor in this situation?

The Wicked Wheel

And while Xia Li has been spinning in circles with her career, the fate of the Gargano Way rests on the axel of the vicious wheel of stipulations from Halloween Havoc of old as host Shotzi Blackheart revealed the Power Couple’s title matches will have an added course of mayhem. This week, we should find out the fate of Johnny Gargano’s North American title opportunity and Candice LeRae’s Women’s Championship shot.

Could we get NXT’s first-ever casket match? Or NXT’s first-ever Buried Alive match? Imagine we run it back and have the North American championship hanging from the ceiling of the Capitol Wrestling Center in a TLS match? With so many possibilities, the Gargano’s surely have fate taken out of their hands heading into NXT Halloween Havoc.

The Golden Prophecy

In the words of the former #1 contender for the NXT Championship, this may be the second coming of the golden prophecy. Last week, the champs Breezango had front-row seats to watch an epic opening of the show. They watched the Undisputed Era vs. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan battle for a chance to go one-on-one for the NXT Tag Team Championships. And when the dust settled, Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish were victorious.

In the surefire main event, it will all come down to this. Tyler Breeze and Fandango will clash with Undisputed Era. With a chance to reign over the tag team division in NXT. Can the cinderella-like story of the veterans of Breezango continue their reign? Or will it be an undisputed fact from Kyle O’Reilly that predicts the result and a historic 4th reign by Strong and Fish?

A Treat Worth Waiting For

And with one week away before NXT Halloween Havoc commences, the card is starting to build into one epic event. Last week, we found out the Raquel Gonzales will face Rhea Ripley. Settling their ongoing feud. We also have Candice LeRae vs. Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship. And Johnny Gargano vs. Damian Priest of the NXT North American Championship.

But again with this being a Takeover sized show, what else will be announced? After Jake Atlas and Adonis were interrupted by members of Legado De Fantasma, could we see an epic 6-man showdown? The Cartel of NXT vs. Atlas, Adonis, and Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott? Or could we run back NXT Takeover 31’s epic NXT Cruiserweight Championship match between Scott and Santos Escobar? Shotzi Blackheart, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, and Ember Moon all have had strong showings. Could we see a clash between these 4 top women for a new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship on the show? Or could we have The Furry and The Fury get a rubber match against rising team Ever-Rise?

So many storylines, so little time, as this has been another edition of Coming Up NXT for 10/21/20. Tune in Wednesday for another edition of WWE NXT only on the USA Network!
