AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 8/31/22 | (Trios Championship Dynamite Final)

As we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 8/31/22 for this coming week, we are reminded of what took place last week. Last week Jon Moxley shocked the wrestling world when he defeated CM Punk to unify the AEW World Championships in under 3 minutes. However, I doubt many AEW fans expected this huge title match to end so abruptly.

With this being the final AEW Dynamite before AEW All Out, what comes next? Let us find out more about this important show in Chicago in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 8/31/22.

We’ll Hear From Undisputed AEW World Champion Jon Moxley

It was certainly a surprise to see Jon Moxley defeat CM Punk in such definitive fashion. Moxley has been an amazing fighting champion since winning the Interim AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door. But after last week’s AEW Dynamite, he is the Undisputed AEW World Champion. The big question is, what comes next?

On the final Dynamite before AEW All Out, the new Undisputed Champion will address the AEW fans. What will he have to say after his huge win? Will a new challenger emerge for Sunday pay-per-view? It would be quite shocking to not see a World title match on Sunday night. We will find out the answer on Wednesday night.

Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. & Jamie Hayter

It was a pretty shocking moment when Thunder Rosa, the AEW Women’s World Champion, announced she could not defend her championship at AEW All Out. Instead, we will have a Fatal Four Way for the Interim Championship on Sunday night. But first, it is time for a tag team match between the four competitors.

It is a contrast in tag team experience on Wednesday night. Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter have a lot of experience as a team. But Storm and Shida do not have any experience together in AEW. Will that play a factor on Wednesday night? The winning team could have a lot of momentum headed into their huge match at AEW All Out.

Jake Hager vs. Bryan Danielson (w/ Special Guest Commentator: Chris Jericho)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho demanded an apology from Daniel Garcia. Daniel Garcia was conflicted after an excellent match recently against Bryan Danielson. He refused to apologize to Jericho and left the ring in disgust. Danielson enjoyed every second of the conflict between the JAS members. Jericho then quickly challenged Danielson to a huge match-up at AEW All Out.

But first, Danielson will face a major test on AEW Dynamite. Danielson will compete against the dangerous MMA-trained Jake Hager. Hager will be looking to damage Danielson before his big match-up at AEW All Out. And we will have Chris Jericho on commentary as well? Will the Jericho Appreciation Society succeed in taking out Danielson before Sunday night? The odds are certainly against the “American Dragon.”

Young Bucks & Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay & Aussie Open
(AEW Trios Championship Tournament Dynamite Final)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, we had a classic Trios match between Will Ospreay & Aussie Open versus Death Triangle. Ospreay and Aussie Open won the match but received little time to celebrate. It sets up a massive match on Wednesday night with the stakes of making the Trios Championship match at AEW All Out on the line.

Seriously, the match has Kenny Omega against Will Ospreay. The last time they competed against each other was in December 2018. Then, it was a New Japan Road to the Tokyo Dome tag team classic. The bad blood between the two has been brewing on social media for months now. It will be a special match on Wednesday night with some truly high stakes. I cannot wait to see it.

What Else To Expect:

  • Will we learn about more matches for AEW All Out?
  • What is next for former AEW Champion CM Punk?
  • Will Jon Moxey defend his AEW World Championship at All Out?
