After months of waiting, it is time for Cody vs. Shaq. It is only a few days until AEW Revolution, the first AEW pay-per-view of 2021. AEW has done an outstanding job of building up to this huge show. What twists and turns will they have before Sunday night? And with huge attention coming to the tag team match, what will happen when Cody Rhodes gets into the ring with Shaquille O’Neal? Let us see what they have in store for us in this week’s AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 3/3/21.
FTR & Tully Blanchard vs. Jurassic Express
The feud between Jurassic Express and FTR has gotten very personal in recent weeks. We had vicious attacks, a kidnapping, and the cutting off of Luchasaurus’s horns. But this week, it is going to another level when the 67-year old Tully Blanchard will wrestle in his first professional wrestling match in 14 years.
What in-ring shape will Blanchard be on Wednesday night? It will be an interesting moment, to say the least. And what lengths will FTR go to win this match? It could be an explosive end to an intense feud.

Dark Order’s 10 vs. Max Caster
(Face of the Revolution Ladder Match Qualifier)
We now have four of the six competitors in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match at AEW Revolution. Who will join Lance Archer, Cody Rhodes, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Scorpio Sky in this important match? The fifth member of the match will be a fresh face for sure.
It will be Dark Order’s 10 versus Max Caster on Wednesday night. Ten has had limited success on AEW Dynamite. Will he breakthrough in a major way on Wednesday night? He has to go through the equally talented Max Caster, whose success has come mainly in tag team action with The Acclaimed. Who will pick up the biggest victory of their career on Wednesday?

Nyla Rose vs. Ryo Mizunami
(AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament Finals )
The AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament has been a lot of fun to watch on Youtube and AEW Dynamite. We now have the winners of the USA and Japan Bracket meeting up in the finals on Wednesday night. The winner will fight for the AEW Women’s World Championship against Hikaru Shida at AEW Revolution.
It is a pretty surprising final two in this tournament. Nyla Rose has had a few chances at the AEW Women’s World Championship before this tournament. But she was very impressive in wins against Tay Conti, Britt Baker, and Thunder Rosa. Her opponent in the finals is also a huge surprise. Ryo Mizunami’s only match in AEW before this tournament was at the original AEW Double or Nothing in 2019. Can Mizunami take down the “Native Beast”? All AEW fans hope that the final can be a worthy end to a great tournament.
Matt Hardy & Marq Quen vs. Hangman Page & John Silver
Matt Hardy changed this match on Tuesday for this week’s AEW Dynamite. He was supposed to get his hands on Hangman Page in a ten-man tag team match. At his request, it now becomes a regular tag team match on the last Dynamite before AEW Revolution.
What will Matt Hardy and Private Party’s Marq Quen have in store for Hangman Page? And can Page work with Dark Order member and fan John Silver? He better do so if he wants to be ready for his AEW Revolution match with Matt Hardy.
Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet vs. SHAQ & Jade Cargill
Since Jade Cargill debuted on the November 11th, 2020, episode of AEW Dynamite. This match has always been coming. Jade mentioned on that night the pending arrival of NBA legend Shaq. Over the next few months, Shaq and Jade Cargill disrespected Cody. Jade even went after Brandi Rhodes on numerous occasions. It seemed with Brandi’s pregnancy that this match would have to wait. That is until Red Velvet showed up.
Red Velvet will team with Cody Rhodes against Shaq and Jade Cargill in a high-profile main event. Shaquille O’Neal has been a lifelong wrestling fan appearing in WCW, Impact, and WWE over the years. This will be, by far, his biggest match to date. How will Shaq perform in a huge tag team match? Can Cody and Red Velvet overcome the size disadvantage? It will be a fun way to end months of feuding and hype.
