Prince Nana Will Provide An Update on Swerve Strickland

At AEW All Out, Swerve Strickland fought Hangman Page in a truly brutal Lights Out Steel Cage Match.

The match, shockingly, ended with Page using a needle on Strickland. It was followed by an uncomfortable chair shot to the head. It seemed Swerve would be out for a long, long time.

At Grand Slam, Prince Nana will give an update on Swerve Strickland. What will he have to say? Here is hoping we will receive good news about the former AEW Champion.

Mariah May (c)  vs. Yuka Sakazaki
(AEW Women’s World Championship)

Mariah May has spent the beginning of her title reign looking for Mina Shirakawa’s support. Mina has been hesitant to give support because of the violent and despicable actions of May in recent months.

But while May was looking at Shirakawa, another popular Japanese wrestler re-entered the title picture. “The Magic Girl” Yuka Sakazaki is back and fighting for the title.

Yuka Sakazaki has been on a hot streak since returning to AEW. Can she keep it going on the biggest stage possible? We know Mariah May will do anything possible to keep her title at Grand Slam.

Young Bucks (c) vs. Will Ospreay & Kyle Fletcher
(AEW World Tag Team Championship)

The former United Empire members Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher recently teamed together to win a Casino Tag Team Gauntlet match. This gave them a future tag team title shot. The future will be this Wednesday night.

Ospreay and Fletcher will face the Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Champion at Grand Slam. The Young Bucks have been controlling the titles since winning them at AEW Dynasty in April.

As members of the Elite, they certainly haven’t won their title matches fairly. Can Ospreay/Fletcher overcome the odds at Arthur Ashe? It could be a show stealer on a special night.
