It was a memorable Forbidden Door show on Sunday night as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 07/03/24. Multiple championships changed hands, and the main event was excellent. But AEW is always looking ahead. The Road to Wembley begins now.
It is time for the annual Beach Break! This week’s show will have three Owen Hart Tournament matches and a huge AEW International Championship match, too. Let us find out more about this massive card in Chicago in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

Mercedes Moné Double Championship Celebration
Mercedes Moné defeated Stephanie Vaquer on Sunday night. In doing so, she won the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship. Moné is now a double champion.
On Wednesday night, Moné will have a “Double Championship” celebration. What will it entail? And will a certain dentist make her presence known? And speaking of Dr. Baker…
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 07/03/24
We’ll Hear from Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
After Mercedes Moné became a double champion on Sunday night, she received an unexpected surprise. Britt Baker returned after a nine-month hiatus. The crowd was pleased to see our favorite Dentist. Mercedes Moné not so much.
On Wednesday night in Chicago, Baker will address the AEW crowd. What will she have to say after such a long absence? And will she officially set her sights on Moné? It is great to have D.M.D. back in action.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Wild Card
(Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal)
Jeff Jarrett gave an emotional promo on being a part of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. He was close personal friends with Owen Hart. For Jeff to win this tournament would be a truly special moment indeed.
But who is Jeff Jarrett facing in the tournament? The Young Bucks told us last week that the “Wild Card” would be something that would bring gold home to the Elite. Is it a certain Cowboy or someone else? It will be fun to find out on Wednesday night.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 07/03/24
Kris Statlander vs. Willow Nightingale
(Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinal)
Kris Statlander betrayed Willow Nightingale after her loss at AEW Double or Nothing. Since that fateful night, Kris has been relentlessly mocking Nightingale.
Willow did get a tag team victory over Statlander on Sunday night. But now she finally gets her hands on Kris in singles action at Beach Break.
The stakes couldn’t be any higher. It is for a spot in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Can Willow get revenge and get one step closer to repeating as the Owen Hart winner? She better be ready for Statlander and Stokely Hathaway to cheat their way to victory.
Pac vs. Bryan Danielson
(Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semifinal)
Pac defeated Claudio Castagnoli on June 19th to move into the semifinals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Pac is looking to redeem himself and get a World Title match at All In in his home country. He faces quite the opponent in the next round.
Bryan Danielson is in his final year as a full-time wrestler. It hasn’t gone as well as he had hoped.
But maybe the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will allow him to redeem himself too. He got off to a great start and defeated Shingo Takagi in a truly physical match on Sunday night.
Can Danielson recover from this match? It will just be three days from defeating Takagi before facing Pac? Can Bryan possibly overcome these odds? He has relished as an underdog before in his legendary career.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 07/03/24
Will Ospreay (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
(AEW International Championship)
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Daniel Garcia was looking for a big match to prove himself. He got an offer to face MJF at AEW All-In.
Not to be outdone, Will Ospreay offered Daniel Garcia a match for the AEW International Championship at AEW Beach Break. Ospreay even offered a World Title match if he won at Forbidden Door as well.
On Wednesday in Chicago, Daniel Garcia gets his huge opportunity for the AEW International Championship. Can he do it? He may never get a better chance for AEW gold.
And what place will Ospreay be after the heartbreaking and physical loss to Strickland at Forbidden Door? Can he possibly be ready for Wednesday night? It will be a great way to end Beach Break on AEW Dynamite.
What To Expect:
- What is next for Jack Perry after winning the TNT Championship?
- How angry is Jon Moxley after losing the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship?
- Who is next for AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland?
