All Elite Wrestling is building to another excellent AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24.
With just two weeks left until the big show, what comes next? It is already a loaded pay-per-view card, but the show certainly still has room to grow into an all-time classic for All Elite Wrestling.
This week’s AEW Dynamite will have a title match, a match in the AEW Women’s Division, eliminator matches, and a big contract signing. AEW Dynamite truly seems to be a chaotic place now that the Elite is in charge.
Let us find out more about this important card in Everett in the latest edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
Hook Returns
At AEW Dynasty, Chris Jericho defeated Hook to win the FTW Championship. Since that night, “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho has had the run of AEW and even gained a protege in Big Bill. But it led to the obvious question: when would Hook return?
On last week’s AEW Dynamite after a Jericho/Big Bill tag match victory, “The Learning Tree” was informed that Hook would return on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Jericho seemed “happy” with the news but what will Hook say and do upon his return in Everett? It is doubtful he will be excited to see “The Learning Tree” in Washington.

Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Brian Cage
(AEW World Championship Eliminator Match)
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland finally had some backup in his feud against Christian Cage before their AEW Double or Nothing AEW World Title match.
Or so he thought. The Mogul Embassy, long-time allies of Swerve Strickland, betrayed him brutally and attacked him in front of a laughing Christian Cage.
On this week’s show in Everett, Strickland has a chance for revenge. He will be fighting Brian Cage in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match. Cage is dangerous on his own, but will he bring along his Gates of Agony allies as well?
All we know is Christian Cage will be laughing the entire time and hoping he faces an injured Swerve in Las Vegas.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Moné Contract Signing
At AEW Double or Nothing, Willow Nightingale will defend her TBS Championship against Mercedes Moné. Nightingale has recently defended the title against Skye Blue in a brutal match. But defending against Mercedes is an entirely different animal.
Moné is out for revenge. At NJPW Resurgence 2023, Moné suffered a brutal ankle injury in a match against Willow Nightingale. Moné has been looking for a chance to get in the ring with Willow again.
What will she have to say to Nightingale as they are finally face to face again in the ring? It will be an interesting contract signing for Double or Nothing to say the least.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
“Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Harley Cameron
On last week’s AEW Dynamite, Mariah May defeated Harley Cameron in a competitive match. After the match, the Outcasts attacked May. That is until Mina Shirakawa made the save. Club Venus of Stardom is still going strong.
On this week’s show in Everett, “Timeless” Toni Storm will face off against Harley Cameron in a Grudge Match. It seems Storm is a bit jealous of the partnership between the former stablemates in Stardom.
Can she gain the attention and admiration back from Mariah May? Defeating Cameron will go a long way towards doing so.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
Young Bucks (c) vs. Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal
(AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match)
Three years ago, the Young Bucks defeated SCU in a World Tag Team Championship. With the heartbreaking loss, SCU broke up, and Daniels moved onto singles action. He has a chance for some revenge in Everett.
Daniels and Sydal will face off against the Young Bucks on this week’s show. If they win, they will get a future title shot. With the Young Bucks likely looking ahead to Double or Nothing, will they overlook their opponents? They would do so at their own peril.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson vs. Jeff Cobb & Kyle Fletcher
Don Callis is looking for an opportunity to hurt the BCC. He is bringing in a “Ringer” for a huge tag team match. Jeff Cobb, the current NJPW World Television Champion, will join Kyle Fletcher on Wednesday night.
Cobb will certainly be looking to hurt the IWGP World Champion, Jon Moxley on Wednesday night. If he could take out Bryan Danielson before Double or Nothing as well, all the better. It should be a physical team match in Washington in front of Danielson’s hometown crowd.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 05/15/24
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Dax Harwood
(AEW Continental Championship)
It was certainly a big moment when Kenny Omega announced an Anarchy in the Arena match for Double or Nothing. It will be Team Elite (Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry versus Team AEW (Eddie Kingston, FTR, and Bryan Danielson).
If it is anything like the previous Anarchy in the Arena matches, it should be some chaotic fun.
Before Double or Nothing, Okada will defend his AEW Continental Championship against Dax Harwood on Wednesday night. Harwood has certainly shown his skills in singles action in recent months.
Can he draw first blood in the increasingly personal feud against the Elite? Taking Okada’s AEW Continental Championship would certainly do that trick.
What To Expect:
- What is next in the feud between Jay White and Pac?
- What is next for the Elite after the news of Anarchy in the Arena?
- Will we learn more about AEW Double or Nothing?
