It will be a battle between the 55-year-old legend and the cocky 28-year-old former AEW World Champion on Wednesday night as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 2/12/25.

The feud between Dustin Rhodes and MJF escalated quickly last week in a fiery promo battle. On Wednesday night, we finally will see a match with these two stars.

But that is not all on the card! We will have two title matches and an Open Challenge from the “Best Wrestler Alive”. It should be a fun night!

Let us learn more about this loaded card in Austin in the latest edition of AEW Ignite.

Best Wrestler Alive Max Caster Open Challenge

Max Caster certainly thinks a lot of himself. The so-called “Best Wrestler Alive” has set up an open challenge for Wednesday night. His last two singles matches were quick loses to Swerve Strickland and Rush. Caster has a lot to prove in Austin.

Who will answer the Open Challenge? Hangman Page seems like a strong contender. Page’s promo was interrupted by an impatient Caster waiting his turn to speak.

That is until Page threatened Caster into leaving. Will Page finally back up his threat in the Open Challenge on AEW Dynamite this week?

The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. The Gunns
    (AEW World Tag Team Championship)

On last week’s AEW Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate celebrated their recent victory to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

That is until The Gunns interrupted, returning from a long absence from All Elite Wrestling. The Gunns quickly got down to business.

The Hurt Syndicate invited The Gunns into the ring. It seems The Gunn wanted a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships since they never got a true rematch on television for the tag titles in nearly two years since losing the tag titles. The Hurt Syndicate accepted and the match was on for Wednesday night.

Is this a wise choice for The Gunns in their return match? The odds certainly seem daunting. If the Gunns pulled it off, it would be one of the biggest upsets in All Elite Wrestling history.

Death Riders (c) vs. Adam Cole, Kyle O’ Reilly and Roderick Strong
    (AEW World Trios Championship)

The AEW World Trios Championship will be defended on AEW Dynamite! It will be the first time Death Riders have defended the Trios Championship since November 7, 2024. Will the Championship be rusty after such a long layoff?

They certainly didn’t pick an easy opponent for their first defense in over three months. Adam Cole, Kyle O’ Reilly and Roderick Strong will challenge for the title in Austin.

The members of the Undisputed Kingdom are certainly an accomplished trio together over the years.. Can they use that experience to walk away with gold on Wednesday night?

    Dustin Rhodes vs. MJF

On a recent AEW Dynamite, MJF knocked out Jeff Jarrett with the Dynamite Diamond Ring. This was the culmination of weeks of disrespect by MJF towards Jarrett. In true MJF fashion, he bragged about it on last week’s AEW Dynamite.

That is until Dustin Rhodes entered the ring last week. Rhodes talked passionately about his own struggles and how sick he was of MJF’s disrespect towards fellow wrestlers.

He vowed to “kick his teeth in” if Max ever disrespected him, the late, great Owen Hart or other wrestling legends again. Needless to say, the incredible segment ended with a brawl.

On this week’s show, MJF will have a rare television match against Dustin Rhodes. We know Rhodes can still go in the ring even at the age of 55 years old. Can he hang with MFJ? We know it will get personal and a little bloody in Austin.

    What To Expect:

    • What is next for Cope and FTR?
    • Will we learn any other matches for Grand Slam Australia?
    • Will we begin to learn matches for AEW Revolution?
