On October 9th, 2004, Pro Wrestling Noah aired the 1st night of the Navigation Against The Current 2004 Tour live from Tokyo, Japan, inside Korakuen Hall.
We have eight matches on tap, with the main event being a six-man Tag Team match between Mitsuharu Misawa, Yoshinari Ogawa & Takeshi Rikio vs. Akira Taue, Takuma Sano & Kishin Kawabata & the battle of Kentas as Kenta Kobashi faces off with Kenta.

Donovan Morgan vs. Mitsuo Momota
Mitsuo Momota leads the match with some slaps, but Donovan Morgan responds with some stiffness and occasional choking. Momota tries some quick pins but doesn’t get it done. Morgan eventually hits a spinning fisherman suplex for the win.

Shiro Koshinaka vs. Go Shiozaki
Shiro Koshinaka hits a bunch of hip attacks to Go Shiozaki and both men do some brawling. Shiozaki tries to stiff Koshinaka but just can’t measure up to the full force of Shiro ramming himself into Shiozaki.
Shiozaki hits a fisherman suplex and some dropkicks. Before he gets hit with a flying hip attack/running hip attack combo & that gets Koshinaka the win.

Mohammed Yone & Daisuke Ikeda vs. Tamon Honda & IZU
After some mat wrestling by Mohammed Yone & Tamon Honda, IZU is semi-playfully worn down until he gets tired of the opposing team’s shenanigans and dishes out some big headbutts.
He headbutts Ikeda’s crotch, but accidentally, since Yone hit IZU with a few elbows, causing him to fall right into Daisuke Ikeda’s nether regions.
Ikeda busts out some chairs and hits Honda & IZU a few times, even hitting a spiked Piledriver on the floor and on top of the chair.
IZU takes a lariat for two but rebounds and hits two chokeslams on Ikeda also for 2 before he taps out to a Wakigatame.

6-Man Tag Team Match
Naomichi Marufuji, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi & Kotaro Suzuki vs. Ricky Marvin, Low Ki & Suwa
Low Ki hits a headstand kick before Tsuyoshi Kikuchi tries to do the same move but keeps failing at it. First, he gets too much elevation and rolls over.
The second time he tries it, the ref actually holds both of his legs up, yet Kikuchi still rolls over.
On the outside, Naomichi Marufuji shakes his head and tries to leave, but Kotaro Suzuki pulls him back.
Kikuchi then tries the move once more, and this time, he gets too little elevation, so he falls back down. Finally, on the fourth time, Kikuchi barely gets it, but of course, the crowd goes insane.
Kikuchi then shakes hands with Ki before Ricky Marvin hits a double springboard hurricanrana to Suzuki.
Suwa tags in and after a lot of offense from him and his teammates before, Suzuki finally manages to tag out, bringing in Marufuji.
Kikuchi’s stomach is flattened by Ki’s double foot stomp, and then Ki drills Kikuchi with Ki Krusher for the win.

6-Man Tag Team Match
Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Hardcore Champion Jun Akiyama & Makoto Hashi vs. Doug Williams, Taka Michinoku & Michael Modest
After some opening standoffish offense between Yoshinobu Kanemaru/Taka Michinoku & Michael Modest/ Makoto Hashi.
Jun Akiyama and Doug Williams lock up, with Jun trying to outgrow Williams only to be schooled by Williams’s mat skills. Michinoku comes in but makes the pivotal mistake of trying to stiff Akiyama.
Michinoku & Kanemaru once again tangle up and, this time, brawl into the crowd, where Michinoku is triple-teamed.
Michinoku eventually tags out, leading to Akiyama & Modest, and when Modest tries to hit an exploder suplex.
Akiyama responds by getting Modest in a perfect position to receive a Hashi headbutt right to the crotch.
Akiyama goads Hashi to hit the move, but when Hashi decides to play fair and just hit a normal headbutt before Michinoku makes Hashi tap out to the Facelock.

Akitoshi Saito, Takashi Sugiura & Masao Inoue vs. The Gladiator, Trevor Rhodes & Bison Smith
After some brief Akitoshi Saito & Bison Smith delayed selling, The Gladiator hits a over the top rope dive of his onto Saito.
Saito eventually hits a stalling suplex on Trevor Rhodes but is grounded with an Iron Claw Chokeslam by Smith.
Takashi Sugiura comes in and hits Smith with an over-shoulder slam and a gut-wrench suplex.
The Gladiator hits Sugiura with a Release German Suplex. Rhodes eventually tapped out after an Argentine Backbreaker by Masao Inoue.

Champion vs. Champion Match
Kenta vs. Kenta Kobashi
Kenta Kobashi starts the match off with a show of respect by grappling Kenta into the ropes and then not hitting him but Kenta takes this as Kobashi babying him and begins nailing some stiff kicks.
Kobashi then takes that as a sign of disrespect and begins hitting some chops. Kenta actually grounds Kobashi with his kicks, even kicking him into the crowd.
Kenta responds by hitting Burning Sword, then some more stiff chops and a backdrop. Kenta nails some more stiff kicks, two springboard dropkicks, and a German suplex that gets a two-count.
Kobashi powerbombs him into a corner and gives him a half-Nelson suplex. Kenta soon hits Busaiku Knee then hits a Burning Hammer for a very close two count.
Kenta hits an inverted version of Hits Go 2 Sleep, but Kobashi won’t go down and responds by hitting a powerbomb, a rolling Kesagiri Chop, and even a Dragon Suplex.
Even after that still won’t put Kenta down. Kobashi nails Kenta with Burning Lariat to score the win.

6 Man Tag Team Match
Mitsuharu Misawa, Yoshinari Ogawa & Takeshi Rikio vs. Kishin Kawabata, Takuma Sano & Akira Taue
Both teams exchange their fair share of signature offenses, including some Yoshinari Ogawa & Mitsuharu Misawa double-team moves.
Akira Taue even hits Ore Ga Taue onto Misawa, while Kishin Kawabata eventually hits a double stomp onto Ogawa.
Takeshi Rikio even eats a nasty chokeslam to flying double stomp to flying senton triple combo but his partners make the save.
Kawabata also suffers a triple-team beatdown, but now his partners make the save. Rikio hits a powerbomb on Kawabata for the win.
