Trailing a crazy week of AEW television comes this week’s AEW Dynamite as we preview AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23! It doesn’t feel that long ago that Mistico made his AEW in-ring debut and the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal took place but already AEW is back on our TV screens.
This week, Dynamite features yet another surprise from Tony Khan, three pieces of gold on the line, and the AEW in-ring debut of one of the world’s greatest. Let us find out more about what’s sure to be another extraordinary Wednesday in Pittsburgh in this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite IGNITE.

Renee Paquette Sitdown Interview with Chris Jericho
Two weeks removed from his shocking loss to Powerhouse Hobbs at Title Tuesday, Chris Jericho sits down with Renee Paquette to reflect on what must have been an embarrassing loss for him.
Hobbs flattened Jericho in under eight minutes when the two went one-on-one, pinning him after two consecutive front slams and offering up a third after the match.
One has to wonder if Chris Jericho can remain 100% focused on the interview, with Don Callis’ ever-growing family still lurking in hopes of bringing about a permanent end to Jericho’s storied tale.
Will Jericho seek a rematch with Powerhouse Hobbs? Will we get a surprise appearance from Callis and his stooges? And will Chris Jericho get out of what should be a routine interview unscathed?

Swerve Strickland Will Address Hangman Adam Page
At Title Tuesday, Swerve Strickland had a great match against Bryan Danielson, with the winner going on to face Christian Cage for his TNT Title. Unfortunately for Swerve, his plot to win the match by striking Danielson with Prince Nana’s crown was thwarted by Hangman Adam Page, which allowed Danielson to pick up the victory.
Now Swerve Strickland has requested time on this week’s Dynamite to address Hangman, who he blames for costing him the opportunity to become the #1 contender for the TNT Title. It’s clear that there’s still unfinished business between the pair, who last went head-to-head at WrestleDream.
Swerve may have been victorious then, but will he request another match with Hangman to take him out of the equation for good? And will whatever Swerve has to say weigh heavily on Hangman’s mind going into his title defense?
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23
Tony Khan Has a Gift for Sting
As announced by the man himself on last week’s Dynamite, the illustrious career of the Icon Sting is coming to a close at AEW Revolution in 2024. This leaves us with only a number of months left until Sting moves onto the next chapter in his life and walks away from competing in the squared circle for good.
To celebrate a career that has spanned almost four decades, Tony Khan will present Sting with a gift. The nature of the gift is entirely unknown, though many have speculated as to what it could be.
A title match? A new role within AEW for Sting after he hangs up his boots? Maybe even a place in history as the first inductee into a newly established AEW Hall of Fame. Only Tony Khan has the answer, but whatever the answer is, it’s sure to honor the legend that is Sting.

Young Bucks & Hangman Adam Page (c) vs. The Hardys & Brother Zay
(ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships)
An unexpected match-up sees the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Champs put their belts on the line against Matt, Jeff & Brother Zay. The latter trio have been on a losing streak, with losses against the Acclaimed in an AEW World Trios Title match and against Daddy Magic, Ang & Daniel Garcia.
Those losses will quickly be forgotten about if the Hardys and Brother Zay claim the Six-Man belts from Adam Page and one of the world’s best tag teams.
Since they picked up the belts from the Mogul Embassy at Grand Slam, Nick Jackson, and Adam Page have both suffered losses in singles competition to Rey Fenix and Swerve Strickland, respectively.
Beating the Elite as a unit is easier said than done though, together. This trio is a formidable team, and they will be looking to knock off the veterans and their protégé without much issue.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23
Hook & RVD vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds
Rob Van Dam is back in action on Dynamite, once again teaming up with FTW Champion Hook. Last month, RVD teamed with the son of his old friend and rival Taz for the first time in a victory over Matt Menard & Angelo Parker on Collision. The pair will be hoping to repeat that success when they meet the Dark Order’s own Silver & Reynolds.
With Dynamite taking place in the birthplace of ECW, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, RVD & Hook will have somewhat of a home-field advantage going into the match and fans will be hoping to see the duo triumphant.
Another victory will put them in good standing to have more matches together as a team in the future. That being said, a loss could tempt RVD to take a closer look at Hook’s FTW Title, and the Dark Order would certainly love to cause an upset in Philadelphia to help themselves get back on the right track after Silver’s recent loss to Orange Cassidy.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Ruby Soho
(AEW Women’s World Championship)
Fresh off a victory against her mentor Emi Sakura last week, Hikaru Shida defends her Women’s World Title against Ruby Soho. Shida already holds title match victories against Saraya and the former member of the Outcasts, the now Timeless Toni Storm. The former will no doubt be in Soho’s corner for the match, aiming to make life difficult for Shida.
Ruby Soho goes into the match with momentum, defeating a troubled Skye Blue on Rampage. However, Soho & Saraya were chased off by TBS Champion Kris Statlander after they gave Skye Blue a beatdown, which brings into question whether we will see Statlander or even Skye Blue again on Dynamite.
Should Hikaru Shida retain her title, she will have knocked off every member of the Outcasts. On the flip side, will there be tension between the Outcasts if Ruby Soho becomes champion?
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23
Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada
Half of the Blackpool Combat Club, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli, look to regroup after a difficult week for them, which saw the House of Black attack members of the BCC on a number of occasions.
There’s no shortage of bad blood between the Blackpool Combat Club and opponent Orange Cassidy either. Since Orange Cassidy lost the AEW International Title to Jon Moxley at Grand Slam, many have clamored to see a rematch between the two and with the pair’s recent butting of heads at Battle of the Belts, we may be looking at Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley II sometime in the near future.
Nevertheless, the last person anyone expected to be announced as Orange Cassidy’s partner for Dynamite was New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Ace – Kazuchika Okada. Okada will be making his Dynamite debut, and fans will hope this match leads to us seeing plenty more Okada in AEW. Everyone will be hoping that the House of Black will steer clear of this match.
AEW Dynamite IGNITE for 10/25/23
MJF vs. Juice Robinson for the Dynamite Diamond Ring
Since its inception back in November 2019, MJF has maintained possession of the Dynamite Diamond Ring. A jewel-encrusted ring now worth an estimated $150,000, MJF has defended the ring annually and used it frequently during his matches to give himself the upper hand against his opponent.
This year, the task of taking that ring from MJF falls to Rock Hard Juice Robinson. Bullet Club Gold have already taken MJF’s title away from him, though only unofficially, and they will be looking to strip MJF of his ring, too, before he defends the AEW World Championship against Jay White at Full Gear.
Barring any interference from the demon-masked individual, who has plagued Jay White and his Bang Bang Gang for a number of weeks now, Juice Robinson’s left hand of God may be about to get a new ring on one of its fingers.
What To Expect:
- Will MJF lose yet another of his assets ahead of his title match with Jay White?
- What will Tony Khan’s gift be for Sting?
- Will we learn of any new matches for AEW Full Gear?
