Four matches have been announced on the upcoming edition of WWE NXT for 10/11/22. Of the four matches, we will see one match to determine the next qualifier for the NXT North American Championship ladder match, a ‘grudge match’ in the mind of one of the competitors, and a bold young talent being forced to back up his words.

The final match will see one woman looking to wipe out an entire faction until she is the NXT Woman’s Champion. All this and more in this week’s preview of WWE NXT for 10/11/22.

    Bron Breakker vs. Javier Bernal

In the weeks leading up to Halloween Havoc, it is clear the champion wants to remain sharp. This week he’ll try to sharpen his wrestling blade against someone who spent more time talking than he had competed. For Javier Bernal, it will be time for him to put up or shut up as he faces the current NXT Champion.

The Florida native went as far as to critic the choice to defend the title against two men at once. Why would he do that? If anything, it shows that he is willing to risk losing the title without being pinned. Bernal could likely learn a thing or two against the champion. This week he’ll have the opportunity to be schooled by the current NXT Champion.

    Nathan Frazier vs. Axiom

If their first two matches were show-stoppers, can it be safe to expect their third one to be the same? It’s a pretty safe guess that these two once again push each other to the limit. However, it isn’t just bragging rights that the winner will walk away with after this match. The winner will earn a spot in the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at NXT Halloween Havoc.

Both men have competed on the former NXT UK brand, and it is their time to shine here in NXT. Will it be Frazier that gets the better of Axiom, or will the man of mystery that gets the better of the Brit? Tune in tomorrow to find out.

Wes Lee vs. Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo

According to the WWE.com page, Lorenzo is looking for retribution for what happened to Tony D’Angelo. In what appears to be a legitimate injury, it’s booked as a means for Lorenzo looking to get a measure of revenge for what happened to the Don of NXT.

The problem was Lee didn’t do anything, but it was a moment in which D’Angelo fell awkwardly into the corner. This led to the referee calling for the match and awarding the win to Lee. That win led to him qualifying for the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match.

To Lorenzo, what Lee did was deliberate. As my friend John Canton would say, ‘heels lie.’ Which couldn’t be any more accurate here. We could very well see Lee be frustrated that he has to apologize and, in the process, cement himself a win going into the upcoming NXT North American Title match.

    Alba Fyre vs. Jacy Jayne

With Halloween Havoc quickly approaching, in the immortal words of Freddy Kruger, “1…2… Alba’s coming for you”. Again, Jayne and her partner Gigi Dolin lost to Nikita Lyons, and Zoey Stark in a #1 contenders match for the NXT Tag Team Championships. But this time, it is Fyre coming for one-third of the members of Toxic Attraction with the intent of settling the score.

Fans will recall that last week NXT Champion Mandy Rose was ‘abducted,’ and Fyre has her sights set on another member of the trio this week. So will this be an instance of Fyre taking out each member of Toxic Attraction so that Rose has no one to help her retain her title?

    What To Expect

    • What will Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh have to say ahead of their triple-threat match against Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship?
    • Additional qualifying matches for the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match
    • Cameron Grimes and Joe Gacy reach a boiling point in preparation for their upcoming match.

What do you anticipate will happen this week in what could be a new era in NXT? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
