With Hardcore Justice in the rearview mirror, we must look ahead two weeks to Rebellion. On April 25th, the stars of IMPACT Wrestling return to Pay Per View with a historic main event. As of today, we know four matches scheduled for the event. However, there’s still much room on the card and lots of wrestlers eager to appear. That’s just a taste of what you can expect on Thursday night. Here’s a breakdown of everything announced for this week’s IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV.  This is Brace for IMPACT for 4/15/21.

Brian Myers & Matt Cardona – IN ACTION!

Bryan Myers and Matt Cardona have been on a collision course since Cardona debuted in IMPACT Wrestling at Hard To Kill. The rift between the former WWE Tag Team Champions formed on March 2nd when Myers faced Eddie Edwards in singles action with Cardona as guest referee. Myers hoped Cardona would turn a blind eye when he used a foreign object to strike Eddie Edwards. When Cardona saw the evidence sticking out of Cardona’s elbow pad, he threw the match out.

On March 23rd, Matt Cardona challenged Brian Myers to a match at Rebellion. Just last week, Myers responded by assaulting both Cardona and Jake Something before formally accepting the challenge. They will meet in singles competition in two weeks’ time, however on Thursday night; they will have the opportunity to pick each other’s opponents. Who will they select to soften each other up before they tear themselves apart at Rebellion?

    TJP vs. Josh Alexander

The X-Division heats up on Thursday night as top contenders TJP and Josh Alexander face off in singles action. These two meet just two weeks removed from their X-Division championship match at Rebellion. The last time these two met was on February 16th, when they faced off for the X-Division Championship. In the end, TJP stood tall with the X-Division title.

This time, however, TJP doesn’t have the championship to light a fire under him. Will this affect his odds against Josh Alexander? Tune in for a classic X-Division mix of strength, technical prowess, and aerial offence when TJP faces Josh Alexander this Thursday night!

    Jazz Retires

When Jazz arrived in IMPACT Wrestling last November, she came with one goal in mind. She wanted to retire on top. To that end, she teamed up with Jordynne Grace in the Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament. They had a good showing but lost in the 2nd round to Havok & Neveah. With the Knockouts Tag Team Titles off the table, they aimed their sights at Deonna Purrazzo and her lackeys Kimber Lee & Susan. Through their battles, Jazz earned a shot at Deonna Purrazzo’s Knockouts Championship at Hardcore Justice.

However, Tommy Dreamer insisted the match be contested under ultimate jeopardy rules. If Jazz lost, she would have to retire. Last Saturday at Hardcore Justice, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Jazz, and as such, Jazz must retire. On Thursday night, IMPACT Wrestling will honor the woman who blazed a trail for women in hardcore wrestling with an official retirement ceremony.

Rich Swann & Kenny Omega Press Conference

On April 25th, IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will meet in a Title Vs. Title match at Rebellion. This moment, while momentous, raises a number of questions about how IMPACT Wrestling and AEW will move forward. Will the dual champion appear on both shows? How often can we expect the dual champion to appear?

Will the two belts be merged, or will the dual champion defend both belts separately? How will contenders be tracked? Thursday night, Kenny Omega and Rich Swann will answer these questions and more during their historic press conference!

    What Else To Expect

    • Sami Callihan and Trey Miguel continue their complicated feud
    • Tenille Dashwood continues her push for the Knockouts Championship
    • Violent By Design celebrate their win over Team Dreamer at Hardcore Justice!
