The Revival tag team champions countless times as part of either NXT, RAW or Smackdown in the WWE. While the article doesn’t state why the decision was made speculation will likely run rampant. On several occasions over the past year, rumblings have come about on the two being unhappy with the direction. Whether they involved factions involving Randy Orton or the perception of the team.
Fans will recall that the Revival have long been tied to interactions with The Young Bucks through social media. The social media hashtag #FTR has been either recognized as ‘Forever The Revival’ or in jest ‘F*** The Revival’. In either instance, the duo is exceptionally talented and their departure from the promotion is disappointing to see.
The Revival Have Been Officially Released by WWE effective today.
However, their departure comes speculation as to potential destinations for the duo. Often fans have clamored for both Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to go where they can be used. AEW or All Elite Wrestling has long been a place fans have ‘hoped’ the two would ultimately end up. The Revival’s technical prowess is second to no one. With a skill set reminiscent of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard (both with ties to AEW currently), the stars appear to be aligning. Recently Dash Wilder addressed a fan that shared their belief that Chad Gable lacked charisma. Wilder and Gable among the most underutilized performers in the tag team division today. With competition in rival promotions such as AEW and IMPACT Wrestling seeking to grow, there will be no shortage of suitors for The Revival.
